Kindergarten, 6th & 10th

I can't believe today is the day we have been waiting for since last year. We officially have a Kindergarten, Jr. High, and High School student! Let the craziness of bedtime routines, lunch making, after school pick up, all school related activities, football, dances, schedules and agendas begin!
It's definitely going to be crazy for the next few years.
I don't know who was more excited us or the girls. Lol
Last night the girls went to bed rather quickly. And this morning we were all awake by 6am. It went pretty smoothly. Jewell popped right out of bed, got dressed, ate her donut and was ready for school.
She was so excited. I don't think it will really hit her until she has to go every day. I know one thing she will probably be out by 7:30 tonight. She's gonna be tired!
Doesn't she just look so cute!
Jolee got up and got dressed. She changed her mind on her outfit a few times. She ended up with a shirt and shorts and said, well I hope I can wear shorts to school, LOL.
She has grown so over the summer. She is definitely to find her own way.
Looking so cute and stylish for her first day of Jr. High! Love her little Bogg lunch bag
She will change class 7 times a day. She was super nervous. She said, what if I get lost. I reassured her she would be fine.
Jaina was up before me this morning. She was already talking with her friends on the phone when I got up. Making sure she had time to do her hair and makeup.
Looking very cute for a sophomore!
She was super excited to go back to school. She has always loved school.

I got to walk Jewell into her classroom and drop her off. As we were walking in I saw moms crying and kids crying. I thought aww poor first timers but then as I was dropping Jewell off at her classroom, I started to choke up a little realizing that was my last baby to ever walk to kindergarten.
I didn't stay long. I helped her put her backpack up and lunch box then gave her a big hug and told her I love you. Then her teacher took her over to where all the other kids were.
We picked up Storie along our way. I have been picking up Storie for the first day of school for the last 3 years now. Guess it's a tradition, lol
After dropping Jewell off it was then Jolee's turn. She said, Mom I'm so nervous. I said you got this. I said, "Bye, Love you".
And off she went.
I pray she has a great year and Jr. High doesn't eat her alive. I know firsthand how mean kids can be especially in 6th grade. But I know with the Lord by her side she will be just fine.
There was soooooo much excitement and giggles coming from the back seat. Jaina and Storie both said they were nervous.
I dropped them off in the back of the school and off they went.
On the way home I couldn't help but giggle and have excitement myself, lol. Both me and Justin were ready for the girls to go back to school. It's been 5 years since me and him have truly had some time to ourselves, to sit in the quiet, to be able to think clearly and not have to do for everyone else. But on the flip side we know we are going to miss all this craziness one day.
So, here's to the first day of school!

Meet the Teacher

I can't believe my last baby starts school tomorrow! How can this be! She was just a baby and now she's grown in a little person already to go off to kindergarten.
Monday night was meet the teacher for both Jewell and Jolee. They were so excited!
Jaina got to dress up and help open the doors at the Elementary and at the Jr. High.
It's been a minute since we have walked the halls that Jaina and Jolee once walked. It seems like ages ago that we were in that part of the school.
Jewell will have Mrs. Zoeller as her teacher this year. We were the first ones to come in. Mrs. Zoeller seems super sweet. I think she will be a great fit for Jewell.
Jewell walked right up to her and said, "Hi, my name is Jewell and I'm going to be in your class and then shook her hand." Mrs. Zoeller was so excited to meet her :)
Jewell looked around her classroom and then she showed her where she is going to sit.
Jewell found her desk and then started to unpack all of her school supplies.
She stashed away her things and then we were done.
Jewell seems really excited, but I don't think it will hit her until the first day of school.
Then we went to the cafeteria, and she got to take her picture with the Eagle.
Then it was Jolee's turn. Once we were done at the elementary, we headed over to the Jr. High. Jolee had previously gotten her schedule, so she wanted to go find where her classes are. We found all of them. She has a few friends in her class and all of 6th grade will eat at the same time.
She said she is excited but nervous at the same time. I pray this year goes a lot smoother for her. I hope with this new beginning she will be able to excel and do a lot better. I'm really happy to see her in Jr. High.
Doesn't Jaina look cute. She got to walk around and help pass out flyers and school information. She saw a lot of people she knew, held the door open and wished all the little student's good luck on the first day of school.
It was a fun day. Now we are ready for all things school!

Class Schedules

Since being back home we celebrated Jolee 12th birthday at the waterpark with her friends, had lots of sleep overs with friends, did last minute school shopping and the girls got their class schedules.
Jaina got her schedule and then I took Jolee to get her schedule.
She was a little nervous. She went in all by herself and got it.
(By the way she looked so adorable)
We went back inside, and she got a tour of her new school. The school is two stories. She was a little confused on where to go but she gets to carry her schedule with her so I told her as long as she keeps up with the schedule she will know where to go and she will be fine.
We also did a lot of baking cookies and snacks. Summertime calls for more snack time. Jewell loves helping in the kitchen. We were making cookies!

And we also got in the pool almost every afternoon. Soaking up the sun while floating in the pool and making cannon balls are the best!

Home to Texas

Our trip finally had come to an end. We were super bummed to be leaving but it was time to get back to all the animals, check on the house and the girls were ready to get home to their friends, swimming in the pool and relaxing for a bit before school starts.
Jolee had a hard time saying goodbye. She is my most sensitive baby out of my three. She doesn't like goodbyes. She cried for a good bit in the car but I told her we would be back next summer.
All three girls were asleep in no time.
They slept most of the way.
We debated back and forth if we were going to stay the night somewhere or just drive through but we were all just hungry and tired.
We made several pit stops at roadside parks and gas stations for snacks.

We ended up staying in the same bed and breakfast as we did last year. It's the only place I could find that will accommodate the 5 of us, plus they have a huge living area and a small room with a twin bed Jolee and Jewell slept on. I knew the girls would be up all night talking on their phones while Justin and I could get some sleep.
The next morning, we had breakfast at the B&B (which was not that great) and then jetted out of town. We got back in town around 6:00. Justin and I were super tired from taking turns driving. We unpacked the car, checked on all the animals, unpacked and got in bed early. Justin and I were sad to have to go back to work after such a great vacation, but I know all the girls were excited to be home.
It was a fun vacation for sure!

Old Timey Photo

On our last day in Tennessee the girls went with Grandma and Richard to go do some fun things. They came home and surprised us with these old timey photos.
Are these not the cutest most adorable photos you have ever seen!!!
I absolutely LOVED all of them!!!
They were all my favorite!
Jolee looked so grown up!
Grandma said Jolee loved her outfit

Brings back memories of the first time we visited Tennessee when Jaina was a baby and we had old timey photos done, now 15 years later she's all grown up.

I'm definitely framing all of these
Hehe I loved this one of Jolee holding the dynamite and Jewell throwing the money
While they were having a blast me and Justin decided to walk to the apple store
Ha, this was not an easy walk! We were pouring in sweat. It's hard walking up and down the hills
But soaking in all the beauty was worth it
We got to see lots of butterflies along the way
So pretty

We finally made it to the apple store then turned around and headed back
Unfortunately, we saw no bears on our walk
The rest of the evening after the girls got home was spent relaxing and playing one more round of baseball in the front yard before heading in to pack up all our things.
