Randoms in May

Here are randoms from this past month of May.
Jolee stylin in her graduation glasses.
We had a going away party for my co-worker Kassie, she's the pregnant one next to me. Kassie and I became really good friends over the last two years. She grew up in Copperas Cove and her husband is from there as well. He is in the Army and they happened to be stationed here for the last 3 years. Her husband got orders for them to move to California last month. I was sad to see her go. I'll miss my friend. But I plan on going and visiting her!
Ice cream at Freddy's is always yummy!

Jaina lost her last baby tooth and the tooth fairy forgot to come. I remembered the next morning after she woke up disappointed. I had to quickly go in her room and hide some money for her to find. She did find it but I'm pretty sure she knew it was me. So now all that's left is Santa Claus. He will be out by Christmas time, lol.
We got invited to go see the Ellison High School spring dance show. I haven't been to a spring show since I was in High School. It was fun and the girls loved the show and loved sitting by little Sophia.
Jolee got to celebrate her birthday this past month since she has a birthday during the summer while school is out. She got a birthday hat.
I took this picture of Jaina last month before her piano lessons were over. She's standing in front of the UMHB football stadium. Who knows she may fall in her Mimi's footsteps and go to college here one day.
Jolee was so excited to bring home her Star Student book and tell me all about it. She was proud of her work.
And this picture, this picture makes Jaina look so grow up. I was like whoa, when did my first born baby grow up so quickly :(

Girls Scout Bridging

Last Sunday the girls had their Girl Scout Bridging
Bridging is where the girls move from one troop to the next. Jolee will stay a Daisy. Daisies are Kindergarten and First grade. But Jaina got to bridge from Brownies to Juniors since she will be in 4th grade next year. The Daisies stood on one side of the stage and held hands and said goodbye to their fellow Daisy friends and the Brownies welcomed their new friends. Then Jaina said goodbye to her Brownie friends and said hello to her new Junior friends.
She was excited! It was a cute little ceremony with all the troops in Central Texas.
Then it was time to receive all of their patches.
Jolee completed her Daisy flower, earned a patch for rock climbing, learning at the Aquarium, going camping on the USS Lexington, participating in World Thinking Day, Birthday Week, selling cookies and earned leaves for attending meeting.
Then Jaina received her patches. This is what she has been waiting for!
She earned her flight wings, bridging patch and a metal star pin. She also earned patches for participating in meetings, selling cookies, going camping on the USS Lexington, going to World Thinking Day, Birthday Week and learning at the Aquarium.
I even received a volunteer award and metal pin :)
And guess who will be the new Daisy leader for next year, me!
So far it's only Jolee and another Daisy......I think I can handle that, lol.
Can you tell she was excited.
I'm so glad the girls are loving Girl Scouts.
They are already excited for next year.

First Field Day in the Books

Jolee had her first field day last week.
Kindergarten field day was from 9:00 to 12:00pm
They had several different activities that they rotated every 20 minutes or so. Some were indoor and some were outdoor.
The weather wasn't too bad in the morning but by noon it was 100 degrees outside. We were hot and it was time to go in and eat lunch.
It was not competitive at all. Their field day is more about showing off their physical agility skills they learned in PE this year.
Some events were more fun to watch then others
She was having fun :)
Group shot of the class
Sling shot water balloons.
They had to hit the target which was a high schooler's car, lol
This event they had to fill up a bucket of water with a sponge
By this point the kids were hot and tired
Allie came watch too
Last event was pull a tractor with a rope
It was fun getting to see Jolee show off her skills.
We checked her out of school early, got some Sonic and went to Pace Park to eat a picnic
Then off to the Sugar Shack for sno-cones
Yum!

Our Little Graduate

Jolee graduated Kindergarten Thursday night.
I was SO excited for her! On the way to the school she looked really nervous so I asked her if she was nervous and she said yes! I told her not to be nervous that it was going to be a fun and great night to graduate.
We came in and quickly took a few pictures before lining her up.
Allie came to cheer her on.
I took her to her line and put her red tassel on for her. Then she was ready.
Doesn't she look adorable :)
Then it was time for all the Kindergarten graduates to walk down to the stage.
Each child took their turn walking down in front of everyone to the song "It's a Small World After All"
So proud!
There they all are! All 5 classes.
They sang three songs. They were all so cute.
Then it was time for the graduates to receive their diplomas
Jolee was so proud of herself and smiled real big.
Way to go Jolee!
After it was over we went up on stage and took a picture of her with her flower
A picture with sissy
And one by sissy's locker

She begged me to let her wear her white high heel shoes so I said why not! Hehe, I was just praying that she didn't fall in them.
Jolee Isabelle Veal we are so proud of you. This year was tough but you made it through and worked really hard to get to where you are today. You had an exciting first year of making new friends, adjusting to school and eating in the cafeteria. You grew into a little girl ready for 1st grade. You will do great things next year! You are the smartest, most beautiful little red head I know. We can't wait to see what this next year brings. You rock!
Way to go Jolee!
