Sleep Over

Today my mom and niece headed out to my uncles and Jaina went with them to stay the night. My mom sent me this picture and said the girls were playing "Beauty Shop", my niece curling her hair. Looks like she's having a blast!
I'm glad Jaina went with my mom today because it gave me a chance to catch up on school work. I'm done with school but have been taking practice tests before I take my big test so I spent ALL day taking tests, blah.
Jolee stayed home with me and Justin and slept most of the day.
If your wondering she is still in her bassinet. It has come to that point where its time to put her in her crib but I'm terrified of SIDS. I just can't do it. The other night I laid her down in her crib after she fell asleep and just stood there for about 15 minutes watching her sleeping then I picked her up and put her back in the bassinet, lol. I put Jaina in her crib at 4 months and Jolee is almost 5 months but I just cant seem to do it.
Maybe next month, lol.

Today

Today we didn't do a whole lot. Cleaned a little, played a little and waited for Mimi to get here.
I got these bar stools from my sister and Jaina loves sitting on them. I've let her eat the last couple meals on the bar stools. I'm glad she likes them. I'm hoping to get some nicer ones after we paint the kitchen but they will work for now.
My mom got here this afternoon along with my niece Rhiannon. They are staying til Thursday to help celebrate my uncle's birthday and bring in the new year. Can yall believe this year is almost over? Crazy how fast time fly's especially when you have two little ones to chase after!

Friday

I have gotten so bad about taking pictures with my camera on my phone. My iphone doesn't have a flash on it and takes pretty crummy pictures. I took great pictures of Jaina with my small point and shoot camera but I carry my iphone with me so much that I mostly use that. I promised myself I would go back to using my regular camera starting tomorrow.

Haha isn't this picture sweet of Jolee. Jaina was playing with her head bands earlier and put this one on her sister.
Tonight while I was making dinner Justin was watching the show Cops and Jaina got so excited that she had to run in her room and put on her cops hat, badge and of course her heels, lol.
Jaina got this cool bathtub paint set for Christmas. You stick these pictures to the bathroom wall and then she can paint them with washable paint. She could not wait to take a bath tonight. She kept asking when bath time was all day. Finally it was time and she had a blast.
The bigger Jolee gets the more she looks at like her daddy.
Sweet and precious :)

God is Amazing

First and for most I am PROUD to announce that my dad is cancer free!!!!!!
God is Amazing!
He got a great report a couple weeks ago that stunned his doctors but they wanted to make sure so today was the big day. They looked at his bone marrow test and it showed NO cancer. The doctors said its a true miracle. For those of you who prayed for my family and dad during his difficult time I want to thank you and wish I could hug each and every one of you. I'm feeling blessed beyond words to know that my dad is healthy and will still be around for a long time. I'm just too young to loose my parents. God is good, God is good

Can yall believe Jaina was running through the sprinkler 3 days before Christmas and now its freezing outside! Crazy Texas weather
Jolee couldn't believe it either, lol
So I feel like I'm constantly cleaning, which I am but I feel like I'm constantly cleaning the same thing over and over again everyday and can never seem to get anything else done.
I feel like I need ALOT of organization in my life (with everything).
I started out with this idea the other day and will see if it works. I typed up the days of the week and gave myself certain chores for that day. I put it in an old picture frame I had and will us a dry erase marker to mark out the stuff I already did for the week. I hope it works......

I also made a schedule for this little toot. I'm not sure how you get a 4 month old to be on a certain schedule because I never had one with Jaina when she was a baby. But luckily she has kind of already made her own. I've noticed in the last couple weeks she tends to have the same sleeping and eating pattern so I guess I'll stick that schedule.
This little girl recently found her feet and loves to suck on her toes, haha
I desperately needed to go grocery shopping yesterday but its just too dang cold outside to  take the girls out and risk them getting sick. So Justin stayed home with them while I ran my errands today.
Justin and I are both starting the South Beach diet together. I'm glad he's doing it with me because I have no self control when it comes to food, haha.
When I was in college I did the diet and lost 30 pounds. I'm hoping to be down 20 by July for my cousins wedding and down another 10 by my 30th birthday.
We started this evening so fingers crossed!
My uncle got Jaina the coolest gift, a Moo Mixer
You put milk and chocolate powder in this device and she turns on the button and it mixes it up for her. She was SOOOOOO excited!
Tastes waaaaay better then mommy trying to make chocolate milk
Jaina got this cute little doll from my sister for Christmas. She says its her daughter, lol
This afternoon when I ran into town Rosie needed me to keep Lily for a couple hours so she came back to the house with me. Jaina was so excited to see her. They played, painted and had a tea party! They had a blast together.

Christmas 2012

This Christmas was full of fun, excitement and surprises.
One to remember and to be thankful for.

We started our Christmas Friday morning when Justin got off work. He was kinda bummed that he wasn't home to be with us to see Jaina get all excited the night before Santa came but he got to see her excitement in her face when she opened the door to see her presents.
That night I put all her "Santa" presents in a big giant bag in my car and when he got off from work he put them on the front door and then went and woke her up. She was so disappointed to know Santa came to the house but didn't leave any presents but then we opened the door and she said "I knew it, I knew it to did come last night"
She was SO excited and we got it all on video.
Jaina really only asked for two presents this year which was a bouncy puppy and a butterscotch pony. When she saw those in the bag she screamed with excitement!
We also got her a couple other things along with lots of clothes
Her sister didn't know what to think about her first Christmas
I mostly got Jolee clothes, shoes and hair bows
Jaina helped her sissy open all her presents for her
She loved her rubber duckies from Santa
They had a fun morning opening their gifts
This sweet baby sits up like a big girl.
The girls also got to open all their presents from Grandpa Richard and grandma DoDo
That afternoon my parents came into town. We had dinner with my sister and then got to open presents again. Jaina was so excited that she could hardly wait
She got a sleeping bag from her Mimi
A tin purse and doll from Aunt Stephie
and some puzzles, clothes, paints, and stocking from Mimi
We gave my dad a memoir book for Christmas. He said he wanted to write one so I hope he sticks to it so his grand daughters know all about him when they get older
This girl LOVES the Grinch movie and was excited to get it
Jolee sat in her activity center and ate her presents, lol
We had such a fun time
Justin and I got 2 new plate ware sets and glass cups.
And Jolee got this little pink hat, lol so cute
Saturday we got and headed out to my uncles house. We had a house full of people.
The girls finally got to wear their Christmas dresses
Our Family picture in front of my uncles tree with Justin making a stupid face
Jaina was so proud to wear her Christmas dress. She loves it.
And I might add this little girl looks sweet in her dress as well
Pretty Christmas Angel
Another pretty Christmas Angel
my cousin Rachel and Jolee. I was surprised to receive a "side" gift from her in private. I had no idea what it was. When I opened it, it was a wine cork when a note on top asking if I would be a bridesmaid in her wedding in July...of course! I cant wait!
The little kids got to go first and open their presents
Jolee got two super cute piggy banks, bows and clothes
Jaina hit the jack pot. She got tons of super fun and cute gifts like this cop barbie, paints, musical jewelery box, piggy bank, jewelery, clothes, dolls and dress up stuff
and she got a "cops girl" costume!! She got a cop badge, hat, car and hand cuffs and let me tell ya she was SO excited. She wants to be a "cops girl" so bad when she grows up. She gets SO excited when she sees them and loves playing "jail" at home.
We received some super cool gifts as well including this cookie jar, pasta maker and ninja crock pot
That evening after we got done we were all watching some home videos when my uncles got really sick so me and my other uncle had to take him to the emergency room. She is doing better now.
Sunday we hung around the house and then picked up my sister and headed back out to my uncles house to hang out with my parents for a while
my sweet girls :)
Jaina playing paper dolls with Jolee
Monday we got up early and headed to Wichita Falls
Jolee rode pretty good this time and slept most of the way

Our first stop was in Windthorst at Kimbra and Weyman's House

The girls both got gifts. Both girls got Christmas Ornaments. Jaina got a bouncy ball and my little pony and Jolee got a little outfit and soft baby doll
Jolee staying warm by the fire fire place with Weyman
Then Jaina gave Kimbra her present she made her
Jaina and her new pony
Then we were back on the rode to Wichita
We got to Pop's and Granny pat's and waited on everybody to get there.
Here's grandpa Tim with his grand babies
Aunt Susan with the girls
Justin great Aunt Neva was able to come out
We had dinner and then everyone opened presents
Jaina was SO excited to get make up from Courtney. She screamed with excitement, lol. She had to put make up on everyone
Grandpa Tim and Jolee
Family pic
After we opened presents Tim wanted to take Jaina to see the Fantasy of Lights. Since I have never seen it either Justin and I tagged along too.
Its a walk through with old old display, at least 40 years old. Justin said the displays looked exactly the same as when he was little.
They are all nursery rhyme themes
Jaina loved it and so did I.
It was really neat to see

Justin said the Santa soaking his feet was always his favorite display when he was little
Then we drove around the country club to look at lights. I have never seen hanging lights like these before. They were all up and down the street. pretty cool
Yesterday when we woke up it was 19 degrees and raining. Then it started snowing and then it was a blizzard, literally. They said it was Wichita's second blizzard.
Jaina LOVED it!
To be honest I have never seen snow blow in that fast or more then 2 inches of snow
Jolee had no clue. She slept through most of it
Jaina making snow angels
She loved it so much she would just lay down right on top of it, ha!
Throwing snow balls at grandpa
Grandpa showing Jolee the snow
I went out but then stayed in for the rest of the day. 19 degrees is just a little too cold for me
It snowed at least 4 inches. I was impressed!
We unfortunately had to drive back yesterday evening because Justin had to work today. The road were super bad until we got to Mineral Wells and then cleared up. I so glad we made it home safe.
Today we spent it inside where its warm. Even though its not snowing its about 30 degrees outside and that's way too cold to go anywhere with the girls.

I'm so glad we got to spend Christmas with everyone this year. Make me feel blessed and appreciate everything and everyone.
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas as well.
