21 Months

I just keeping getting more and more behind on your monthly posts. You turned 21 months old on MAY 8, 2014, let's see what you have been up too
You are talking up a storm these days. Each day you say more and more words. You can now say Mimi, Stephie, Abbey (Allie), Outty for out, hold me, up, juice, bubbles, strawberry, bear, Barbie, open, pack pack for back pack and so much more! The cutest thing I think you say right now is yeah. You answer to questions now with a yeah or no. I will say "Jolee do you want more juice" and you will say "Yeah". You are putting two words together like "momma gone" And you also scream HEY to strangers that walk by us in the store.
You can also count to three. I guess you heard me count to three to your sister one to many times.
You are still on the same schedule you wake up at 8:30 and are usually down for a nap by 10am and sleep at least 2 hours. Your bed time is 7:30. You eat almost anything now and have a big appetite. When sissy is done with her plate you like to see what she left and eat it. You snack a lot throughout the day and hardly ever turn down food. You are in 18 month clothes but can wear some 24 month clothes. You are still in a size 3 diaper but will probably move up a size in the next month. And you wear size 5 shoe
Your new thing that you are doing is gagging yourself. You like to stick your whole hand in your mouth and gag. I read that its a phase that some kids go through so I hope it doesn't last long. You still HATE the nail clippers and tend to voice your opinion when you don't like something and will scream NO.
You are playful and love to ROAR all the time. You will say rrrrrrrrrrrrr or roooooar. you and sissy love to play hide and seek and play fight. But boy do yall real fight! yall pester each other so bad and get into a lot of trouble sometimes. But yall have Sweet moments like at night when you are trying to go to sleep and sissy sings songs to you. Its just the sweetest thing.
You are a handful but we are blessed you are ours. We love you so much and all our lives revolve around you. These are the sweetest days and I want to cherish them all. We love you Jolee Isabelle!

Memorial Day Weekend

Well I'll have to say that its been an interesting last couple of days around here to say the least.
Saturday we went to a birthday party for a little boy named Julian. It's my friend Rosie's sister's son. He had a Spider man party.
Here is Jolee, Jaina, Lily and Lily's sister Harper
They had a HUGE water slide for everyone. I was tempted but never got in because it started to rain and then got dark. All the kids played in the water from 2 to 11pm! They wore their selves out!

Jolee did not want on the slide but loved being in the pool
She kept saying " Momma, Dada, Up"
We sang happy birthday, had pizza and cupcakes
Then the kids swam some more
Then we all participated in a silly string fight
And took turns hitting the pinata
Jolee held the bat but just stood there
Jaina put some muscle into it and gave it a big whack
Then all the candy fell
It has been raining like crazy here the last week or so, our lake is finally filling back up
Jolee sitting up in her booster seat eating like a big girl
Jaina had another tea party but this time invited some friends to have it with her :)
Wednesday I desperately had to go shopping for groceries. Guess I wore this little girl out, lol feet up and all

Yesterday was Jaina's final last day of MDO. They got to have a water gun fight at school. She was said to say goodbye to her teacher Mrs. Laurie but the good thing is she goes to church with us so we will get to see her on Sundays and during VBS too. As promised I told Jaina on her last day of school I would take her to the Sugar Shack to pick out some candy. Both girls were thrilled
Jolee has been having some REALLY bad diarrhea for the last 10 days. But she wasn't showing any other signs of sickness until yesterday. I learned very early on when Jaina was a baby that if they have diarrhea the doctors will NOT do anything for your child besides tell you that it needs to run its course. So I never took her in but yesterday she woke up cranky and hot. I checked her temp and she had a low grade fever of 99.1. She ate just a tiny bit and was fussy and crying all day. She even took two naps which is out of norm for her so I knew something was up. We ran to the store to grab some over the counter meds and pedilite for her and she refused both. I took her temp again and it was 102 so I gave her a bath which she screamed the entire time. As I was getting her out she started shaking all over and wouldn't stop which scared the daylights out of me so I called Justin at work and he said take her to the children's hospital right now. He met me up there and they check us in. After 4 hours they ended up just telling us she either has a virus that's going around or she might have shigellosis which is going around as well. They gave us no medicine and still no relief for our child but gave us a piece of mind knowing that she didn't have anything serious. Today she was acting alittle better but still pretty fussy. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Now does this look like a sick child, lol?
Believe it or not this is the first time this child has actually been sick. That's awesome knowing she is 21 months old and this is the worst that has happened. I believe breast feeding her for the first 7 months of her life has made this baby super healthy along with not having to go to daycare too.
Today Jaina received a special graduation gift in the mail from her Mimi and Pawpaw. She was overly excited!
She got her very own "diamond" necklace as she says :)
And this happened today :)
My hair grows super fast and in order to keep up with blonde hair I would have to be going to see Rosie every 3 weeks, umm no thank you. I love ya but don't have the time to be going to a hair salon every 3 weeks! So I went back brown but a light brown and she layered my hair and gave me bangs. I'm still growing it out for Locks of Love so I'll have long hair til New Years day.

I'm a little graduate

Today was Jaina's pre-k graduation. She was beyond excited about it.
Here she is on the first day and last day of Mother's Day Out! Can yall believe how much she has grown. She looks so big! I'm happy and sad all at the same time. But I do know one thing and that she is the most beautiful little 5 year old I know!
She has grown and learned so much in that last year. I remember wondering if I should even put her in the MDO program and I will have to say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for her. Even though it was only two days a week she learned just as much as a kindergartner would know. She learned how to spell and write her name, she knows all her numbers and can count to 100. She knows her days of the week, she knows sound and letter recognition. She knows how to follow rules and listen to directions and her favorite part...she knows how to use a pair of scissors. She is a smart, kind, funny, loving and sweet girl. I cant wait to see what next year has in store for her.
She gained 5 1/5 pounds, grew a couple inches and she now says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up!
While she was at school this morning I was busy planning her "party". I always want to make very stepping stone special for my girls even if it is a tiny "party". I set up our table with her school picture, her graduation picture, her MDO sign, a little present from mommy and daddy and these cute little balloons I found at Target. (arnt they adorable!)
Her graduation was held in the small little chapel across from her school. It was raining cats and dogs so I wasn't able to take any photos of her outside of the chapel. Maybe Ill  get some on Thursday.
I LOVED that she had her own little cap and gown. So precious!
She was SO excited we were all there just for her.
It was her special day!
The program was short, we had a prayer, then Mrs. Amy talked a little and then Mrs. Laurie said a few words. Then they sang the pledge
They sang "The days of the week" and "I'm a little graduate"
It was too cute
Then they received their diploma
All the kids looking at them
So proud of herself!
After it was over she said "mom come take a picture of me"
Her Great-Uncle Allie was there
Along with Aunt Stephie
And sissy
And of course a picture with her teacher Mrs. Laurie.
I cant thank her enough for all she has taught Jaina this year. I knew if she would have stayed home with me she wouldn't even know how to write her name. I am forever grateful.
She also learned so much about Jesus. They have chapel during class and learned stories in the Bible. It brings joy to my heart when she is at home playing dolls and teaches her dolls about Jesus, or if she's with her friends I hear her talking to them about Jesus and she will cuddle up on the bed with one of her many picture Bibles and will tell me all the stories. I hope it stays with her all her days long
After the graduation we were all welcomed in the lobby for cookies
Here she is in her classroom
She gave us a grand tour and showed us where everything was
Jolee enjoyed sitting at sissy's table
When she got in the car she was surprised by her graduation balloons I hung up for her
it was like a "party in the car" for her
She loved it!
We had Pizza in town and then came home to celebrate
I made her some cupcakes that said Class of 2014 with her school color, red
We got her just one small gift just to make her proud that she accomplished a whole year of school
She's been wanting this Barbie pool so it was a great time to give it to her
and uncle Allie gave her a candy machine that she can put pennies in to get out M&Ms. Maybe it will teach her a little about money this summer
And here is her diploma she received. It even had her graduation picture on it
It wont be to long she will be the class of 2027!
It sounds sooooo far away but in the wink of an eye she will be all grown up and graduated and off to college. Makes me cherish every moment!
We took a video of the entire graduation but its taking over an hour to upload so I'll have to post it tomorrow.
