She's Crawling

We hit a milestone today! Jewell is crawling yall!

For the last month or so she has been doing a lot of rocking back and forth to strengthen her stomach muscles, arms and legs. She has also been pushing up on all fours but can't seem to go forward and always falls back and then sits up. And right before Christmas she actually leaped a few times but never crawled.

She has also been trying to pull up on the couch. I figured she would probably just go straight to walking and skip the whole crawling thing but tonight she took off! Dorothy and Richard are down for Christmas and we were all in the Living room trying to find a movie to watch. Jewell was on the floor rolling around and I had just stepped out of the Living room to go lay down for a minute when all of a sudden I heard everyone screaming, "she's crawling!". She was across the room and crawled to Jaina. Dorothy said Jaina's eyes got real big and started screaming "she's crawling".  So I jumped up and went into the Living room. She crawled a few more times. I was glad I was there to see her crawl and am glad the girls were there to witness her first crawl. Justin is at work and wasn't here to see but I was able to record some for him to see. 

Georgetown Stroll

We did alot of fun things this past December. Now that I have the weekends off I'm able to take the girls and do more things with them. It's nice and I love that. 

The weekend after Thanksgiving Jennifer was still in town so we decided to go to the Georgetown Christmas stroll.

It was alot fun. Humid, windy and wet.

Jennifer and Allie went and walked around while I took Jolee and Jewell to see Santa. This was Jewell's first time to sit with Santa and she did great.

We shopped, too pictures and even bought a few things.

Jolee was having fun looking for money on the ground.

She's so funny and is always a good sport when I make her do weird things, haha.

Jaina stayed home with Mimi. 

Jolee found a dream catcher and she found a green elf who she named Prancer. After we walked the square we went and ate dinner at an Italian restaurant and then headed home

Jewell's first Christmas

Jewell had her first Christmas a few days ago. She got the hang on unwrapping gifts in bags by pulling the tissue paper out.

The girls made "ugly Christmas sweater cookies" for Santa.

Jolee set them out for Santa and told Rudolph goodbye one last time before he left for the year. Prancer, Rudolph's side kick gets to stay and watch of Jolee all year long.  Prancer is naughty he ate all of Santa's cookies.

I didn't go too crazy with gifts this year. They all got one big Santa gift which was bean bag chairs. 

The girls were totally excited when they saw them. Jolee came running to our bedroom saying Santa brought them chairs!

Too cute! I even found one for Jewell :)

She was ready to get down to business and start ripping open those gifts.

Jolee got a magic set, basket ball hoop for her door in her room, Twisty pets, a Lumi, floam, clothes, and some Nerf guns

She has been playing with the Nerf guns and basketball the most. 

Jaina got her Hydro flask she's been dying for, Charm It bracelet, a game, nail polish, clothes and a few other things

She was Sooooooooo excited about her water bottle, lol

Jewell got two toys for her high chair and some clothes

After Christmas was over I made a big breakfast and then we chilled out the rest of the day. It was pretty perfect I must say,

6 Months

Jewell you turned half a year old on Dec. 2nd! I can't believe it!

Let's see what you have been up to.

You are growing like a weed. You are eating like a champ. You eat breakfast at Nanny's house usually apples and oatmeal. Then get a 6oz bottle. Then for lunch you get a vegetable and some juice, a few bottles in between and then for dinner I give you another vegetable with juice. You love all your foods except peas but hey I don't blame her, I mean who really likes peas, lol. Some of the meats you are not too fond of and even some of the veggies you hesitate eating. You go down for a nap mid morning and will take two afternoon naps, an evening nap and then bed is usually around 9ish. I take you to Nanny's house in the morning so I usually wake you around 7am but if you could sleep in you would til about 9:00am. Your daily schedule is definitely like Jaina's schedule was when she was a baby. 

You are 19.6 pounds. You wear a size 6-9 month clothes. You still cant fit into your shoes. You are still sleeping in our room. You have spent a few nights in your crib but with illness and company you were back in our room.

You had a few set backs this month. You were still have a hard time with your bottles then I realized you had out grown the size 1 nipple on the bottle. After switching to size 2 & 3 you now drink your bottles in no time. You caught croup this month. It was scary. We took you to the emergency room twice. We never had to seal with croup with Jaina or Jolee so it was new to us and scary too. Then you started teething and drooling really bad but still no teeth. And then we had company down for a week. So hopefully I can transition you back to your bed in no time.

You love to giggle, laugh and babble. You also like to spit your tongue out and make noise.

You love Nanny alot

You love to play with Jolee and you think she is funny. Yall like to play on the floor together and she even gets in the crib with you.

You love to watch Puppy Dog Pals

You are trying to cut your first tooth

You can roll over from front to back and sit up. 

You are trying to crawl and can get up on all fours

You are just so sweet and lovable. We all like to love on you a whole lot. You were the missing piece to our little family and you make us complete. We love you Jewell LeeAnn!

Fun of the Weekends

Haha, When you feel like someone is stalking you.

Our weekends are usually full of cleaning up, running errands or going fun places. Every now and then we do get some down time to play. One of Jolee's favorite things is to play dress up.

She loves this little white "wedding" dress.

She's my pretty princess in it.

Look at this girl! She has slept in her own crib a few times all by herself. Jaina will sleep in the twin bed in the room with her. That makes me feel better that someone is in the room with her. 

This girl right here is something else!

Look at my little overall baby. She grows so fast. I feel like I have just the right amount of clothes. She usually gets two wears out of her clothes before she becomes too big for them. THe last time I took her to the doctor she weighted 19 pounds.

We still have all our animals. Otis up to no good.

And these too. Haha they have been sleeping on our bed a lot more now that it's winter time. I don't blame them because some mornings its really cold outside.
