10 Months

Tomorrow is the last day of the month and Jewell will technically be 11 months in a few days. I meant to post this earlier but this month flew by and we have had a lot going on.
Jewell you turned 10 months old on April 2, let's see what you have been up to.
As you can see she is a busy little wiggly girl these days. She likes to jump up and down as fast as she can in her crib while holding onto the bar so snapping a quick photo in her bed just aint happening these days, lol.
You are very active for a 10 month old.
You are very smart.
You got your first taste of table food this month. At first you didn't like it and now you are eating some.
You can say 6 words, Momma, Dada, Nan Nan, Paw Paw, Bye Bye and Aba Daba Doo, Ha!
You also make this spitting noise with your mouth and Jaina says you are rapping when you make those noises.
You are a noisy Rosie. You Like you look to see what I am doing and everybody else is doing too.
You can walk! You took your first steps this month well actually at 9 months, a few days before you turned 10 months.
You can clap, praise Jesus and hold two hands up and give a high five.
You can bark like a dog
You go to Nanny's house during the week to soak up all those hugs and kisses
Your sleeping pattern is all over the place. If I let you sleep in you can sleep until 10:30am but if I go to work you sleep until 7.
You drink about 4-5 bottles of milk a day
You can still fit into a new born shoe! Which tells me you may be short.
You wear a size 18 month to 2t clothes so you are a big girl
You wear size 3 diapers
You usually take a morning nap and an afternoon nap
You usually go to sleep right after your bath and are in bed by 8:45
You are sweet and cuddly
You are smart, observe and learn
You can sing along to Dave and Ava
You love to play with your toys, especially your banana chew toy
You can speed crawl
You like to stick your head out the doggy door and look around
You can drink out of a sippy cup
I can't believe you are almost 11 months old.
We love you Jewell LeeAnn!!!!

Grow Plants Grow

Haha, look at all that attitude!!!!!
Sasssssssssss girl!
Before the Coronavirus got really bad and children were still allowed to go into the stores the girls and I spent most of our day in Lowes.
We looked at all the different projects we could do.
We ended up taking home a starter seed kit, birdhouse and lots of flowers and herbs.
The girls throwing the football to each other waiting to start planting
I let the girls help me pot my plants, and Justin let them help him clean out our raised garden and help plant

Even Jewell got in on the action
Jaina had fun putting together this seed starter kit
We planted all herbs from seeds
She couldn't wait for them to start growing
And Jewell had fun eating her snacks
Both girls have earned their February Library Patch, Earth Day patch and also their spring journey patches

Moon Dough

Jolee looked so cute in my glasses the other day. She said "Mom, take a picture of me". Of course I will!
I've been trying to keep these girls as busy as possible when I'm not working and am home with them in the evenings and on the weekdays. I have been trying to come up with different crafts for them to do. Jaina is almost out of that stage but your never too old to craft.
This particular night the girls got to make moon dough (soft slime). The directions call for equal parts of Johnson's baby lotion and corn starch and that's it. Since I had both on hand it was easy to make
The girls are also doubling dipping with our activities because a lot of them count towards Girl Scouts as well
Wa-La!
Moon dough
Then I let the girls add whatever food coloring they wanted to it. Jolee of course chose green and red
She loved her moon dough
Jaina made her dough blue and yellow
Jaina said it felt weird in her hand
Showing off how strong she is
I remember taking a picture very similar to this in my hallway when I was about her age showing off my muscles.

Easter This Easter That

I put Jewell on the trampoline for the first time last week and she loved it!
I was on with her the entire time of course
Jolee bounced with her and she just giggled and had the biggest smile
Then Jaina, Justin and Otis all joined in
Haha, Otis jumped onto the chair and then onto the trampoline. He lets the girls bounce him, haha
Jolee is a mess yall
We are definitely making memories while they have been out of school
:)
The girls making Easter cookies
Jaina likes me to buy the holiday cookies she can bake. She's old enough now to start learning how to cook
We've been spending as much time in the back yard and outside as we can. We are soaking up as much vitamin D and having lots of dinners outside
She's such a toot!
She's getting so big. I started introducing table food to her. At first she didn't like it but now she is getting the hang of it. She will eat tiny pieces of soft bread and bananas.
One of the fun things we did the night before Easter was a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. It was suppose to rain on Saturday so I told Justin if their hunt got rained out atleast they got to do the glow in the dark one.
They had blast!
I hid the eggs for them three times. Each time being a little harder.
The yard looked really cool with all the glow in the dark eggs. It was fun!

Bell County Virtal Egg Hunt

This year because of the Coronavirus Jewell missed seeing the Easter bunny for the first time, we missed lots of public egg hunts, the girls missed their school egg hunts and so much more. It made me a little sad. Jaina said she was sad because her Easter party was going to be her last ever school party because next year she will be in Jr. High. (That sounds so weird saying that)
But one of the cool things that the whole entire county put together was a virtual egg hunt. What is that you might ask. Well everyone in the county was invited to go to a certain website, download and print out the same eggs. Then you color them and place them somewhere on your house like the front door, windows of even on your car. When people pass by your house the kids can hunt them and point to the eggs when they find them.
I thought it sounded like a grand idea so I printed them out and the girls got busy coloring
I thought they looked eggcellent
Then everyone in the county put their eggs out at the same time so everyone could hunt on the same day. We of course put ours on the front door
Then we walked the neighborhood looking for eggs. You even had the option to go in your car to different neighborhoods looking for eggs.
We walked our entire street. We found a few houses with eggs. Jolee would get so excited everytime we saw a house with eggs in their windows
It was a fun night. I love how our community can come together during this pandemic and still let our kids have fun during Easter
