Sliding into Summer

Saturday while I was working the girls played outside with their moon sand.
Once I got off from work I met Justin and the girls at my friend Rosie's parents house for their nephew, Julian's birthday party. They had a huge water slide for the kids
They had such a blast.
Jaina's favorite part, the pinata
Every time I go to her parents house it's like a time warp.
I say I'm only staying for a little bit and then we end up staying until 10:00 at night. Lol
The girls were out in no time once we got home.
Play hard, sleep hard.

Let Summer Begin

So Friday after I got home from work the girls were already outside in their new bathing suits running through the sprinkler like wild women.
Jaina in her new polka dot bathing suit
And Jolee in her little mermaid suit
Too cute!
Friday evening we took the girls bowling
We haven't been bowling in forever. I thought it would be a great way to start out the summer fun.
This was actually Jolee's first time to bowl so it was all new to her. Justin got out there and showed her how to bowl a few different ways.
They were so excited!
We rented our lane for an hour so it was enough time for a game and a half
About the last half of the game Jolee told Justin "I got this" and she went out there and did it herself. She would jump up and down each time with such excitement and say "Yay, I did it!"
Jaina's bowling skills are actually pretty good. She used the bumpers but really didn't need them. She also scored better then I did.
After bowling we headed to Chili's to eat. The girls were so tired. They had a fun filled first day.

2nd Grade Awards

Friday was Jaina's last day of school. I HAD to take one last picture of her walking into Thomas Arnold Elementary school as a 2nd grader. Next year she will not come to this part of the school she will be in a different building, the SIS building.
I was not able to attend her awards show on her last day so Justin and my uncle came and watched her receive her awards
I called Justin during my lunch break to see how she did and Justin said she received a couple awards
She received the A-B Honor Roll
The Citizenship Award
And the AR Award
This was something neat. She has papers from the first day of school and the end of the year. It shows her progression throughout the year.

Last Day of 2nd Grade

Can yall believe school is out for the summer! And Jaina is done with 2nd grade. I swear she JUST started 2nd grade!
I will have a Kindergartner and 3rd grader in just 3 short months.
Crazy!
We have lots of things planned for the summer. We have already kick started it into a fun filled weekend. They will be super busy this summer.
Friday was Jaina's last day of school. So the night before I left them a fun note with two new bathing suites. I found these at Burkes and had to get them and thought I would leave a surprise for the girls on their last day of school. I also got some Miracle Sand at Walgreens to kick off the summer fun!

Jolee's Pre-K Graduation.

Yesterday was Jolee's Pre-K graduation!
Jolee has been going to The Play Yard since she was about 2 1/2. This is also where Jaina went to daycare. So I have officially been coming here for 8 years. Jolee was in the pre-k class this year at her daycare. The class is mimic like the pre-k curriculum at the Salado Elementary. Since she will be going to Kindergarten this fall we got to celebrate with her graduating yesterday.
It was a bittersweet moment. I LOVED every minute of it!!
Uncle Allie came to help celebrate her big day.
After work I rushed home, changed and we all went and ate pizza. Then we headed over to her school early so I could take as many pictures as I wanted too without any distractions and it worked out perfect.
We walked in and had plenty of time for many photo opts
I just loved it!
Isn't she too cute!!
I LOVE this photo and am gonna frame it!
She was sooooooo excited to show us her room
:)
This is where she hangs up her back pack every morning
Showing us her art work
And laughing because her hat kept falling off
Sissy sure was proud of her
I can't begin to tell you how excited she was! I have NEVER seen her this excited. She kept laughing and giggling. She was having such a good time showing us around. It was too cute!
Laughing because her hat fell backwards
Still laughing
Her graduation tassel
Waiting for everyone to arrive
Here they come, one at a time climbing up on the table
Mrs. Charity helping the kids
Here are all her classmates. 13 in all
Hehe I love this photo! This is when she realized my co-worker Brenda was there. She was so surprised
It was a short sweet ceremony. All the teachers cried, even the daycare owner, Mrs. Dee Dee.
The kids sang 3 songs and Mrs. Dee Dee read a couple of poems and talked about there class and the teachers
Each child was nominated for something. Jolee was nominated as class cowgirl because she wears her boots with everything
Her Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Charity
Brenda and the girls
Brenda brought her flowers
We are so proud of her!
Ms. Ky
And Ms. Jessie
And Mrs. Dee Dee
Once it was over we headed straight home to celebrate.
Of course I decorated the hutch for this big event
Some bubble blow and a few pictures
Then a photo with all her loot. Graduation sun glasses, 2017 bracelet and cup from her school and I got her the little graduation bear.
Uncle Allie got her a Graduation bucket full of goodies.
She got a cash cow, gold fish, ring pop, chips, cookies and candy
Each item had a cute little saying on it like the Gold Fish said "You are O'Fish"Ally a Kindergartner"
And her "Class Ring", ring pop
I got her a Cabbage Patch puppy dog
And of course dessert!  I got both girls a graduation cupcake
Yum!
Ooooooooh Jolee, We are SO proud of you! I can not believe you will be a Kindergartner next year. Time has flew by with a wink of an eye! It's so bittersweet. And such a fun time in your life and mine. You have grown so much in just one year. You are smart, you can sing your ABC's, count to 18, follow directions and even write your name. You are such a fun loving and sweet girl. I hope you enjoy the summer ans soak in all that sun! Only a few months and you will be in the big school with sissy. We love you Jolee Isabelle!
