Shine Light

Jaina finally recieved her package she has been so impatiently waiting for and she was EXCITED!

Back when Justin's grandma was here in May Jaina had pointed out on tv that she wanted a Dream Lite. So grandma bought both her and the baby one. We thought it would arrive while grandma was here but it didn't. Then I just figured it would arrive while Jaina was in Tennessee but it didn't. Then she came back home and another 2 weeks went by and still no "shine light".
Well if you know my child she is in that stage of asking for something at least 50 millions times a day until she gets it and that can wear on your nerves real quick.

I finally called grandma and told her that it still hadn't arrived. So she got in contact with the Dream Lite people and the package finally arrived this afternoon.

She was too excited!
She couldn't wait for it to get dark so she could use it.

Here is baby Jolee's waiting for her in her crib :)

It basically shines light up on the ceiling of stars, moons and a lady bug in different colors, and also can be used as a pillow pet.
Tonight she was actually excited to take a bath and get into bed. Maybe with her "shine Lite" bedtime won't be such a struggle anymore.

The tale of the little kitty cat

Monday when I was working guess what walked up to the clinic door. Yes, this litte kitty.
I have been on a two week assignment at a clinic that has alot of construction going on out in front of the building. Well as we were at the front desk we saw this little cutie peeping its head in the front window. Then one of the construction workers said "hey yall want this cat its been following me for about an hour". Well I had a doctors appointment and told one of the nurses that I would find a great home for it if no one else took it.
Well guess what.....no one else took it.
But I texted one of my friends to see if she wanted it but when I got to her house she wasn't there
So I had to take it home.
I KNEW better then to take it home because one, Justin LOVES cats, especaily kittens and I just knew he would want to keep it. And second I KNEW Jaina would throw a fit when she saw it.
I for one said I would find a good home for it, not keep it.
And I'm about to have a baby and don't need a kitten running around and having to pick up after it. Plus we have 3 adult cats already!
As soon as we got home Jaina said "Oh mommy can we keep it!" I told her no becuase we were only babysitting it. Then Justin said "Oh come on... whats one more cat". Nope, I really don't have time for another mouth to feed.
Jaina was all about the cat until she found out that little kittens want to play, fight and scratch then it was a whole other story. She didn't want any part in it.
So we agreed to keep it until we find a home for it.

But in the mean time this kitten it CRAZY! It will literally jump off the bed and cling to your pant leg, run after your feet, and bite the living tar out of you.
It looks like I'm chocking the cat but I'm not it's biting me.

And Dixi and the kitten have become friends. They chase each other around house all day and night long.
Its giving Dixi a run for her money

Last night we were laying in bed trying to go to sleep but the kitten insisted on play-biting us when Justin said, "man this kitten is a little rascal". I said thats perfect! He's a boy and his name will be Rascal! So now all that we need is a home.
Let me know if you want this cute little fellow.

Sometimes

Sometimes you just have to throw your hands up in the air and say "whatever"!
Somedays its just easier to let your child have it their way then try and put up a fight.....especially when your pregnant.
Like today when I had to run to the grocery store after work to buy milk. Jaina was already out of her clothes she wore to daycare and was already in her princess dess up clothes and begged me to please let her wear this to the store.
So I did.
I knew it was going to be a quick in and out trip, plus she got ALOT of smiles and compliments.
And I might add she does look darling :)

And let her bring a wallet full of plastic toys to be thrown around the car

or let her cover up with a blanket in the car because she insists she's cold when its 106 outside....
Nobody ever said being a parent was easy!

What's up Doc

This afternoon I had my last two week doctor's appointment.
Next week I start going every week.
I saw the PA which has seen me several times before. I really like her. She was all excited because she is one of those doctors that are sticklers for gaining weight (which my doctor is not) and happy because I didn't gain any weight since my last appointment, lol. I didn't even realize it.
She said I've only gained 27 pounds so far. Which I feel and look like a whale!
She said everything looked good and sounded good. Her heartbeat was in the 130's and I'm still measuring about a 1/2 week early.
She also said I've entered the "go" stage. She said now that I'm 34 weeks if I do go into labor they won't stop it. So I can actually have this baby anytime now!
I did tell her I was having contractions on and off which she said is normal and that I was having some anxiety over this delivery. She gave me some advice which made me feel alot better.
Other then that so far so good.
Anytime now! I'll keep yall posted!

What a weekend

What a weekend this has been.
I don't know about yall but I'm actually ready to start the work week.
We had a busy weekend and I didn't take one single picture of Jaina either.

Friday night we didn't do much, just watched Jaina in her pool and called it an early night.
Saturday morning we got up early and my friend Pam and her daughter Chloe drove down from Waco to have a girls day of shopping in Salado.
We decided to go around 10:30 thinking it wouldn't be to hot but let me tell ya....it was HOT! I think we choose the hottest day of the year to go out door shopping. We went to about 10 stores and just couldn't take the heat. Her daughter Chloe just turned a 1 old and her poor little cheeks were just as red as tomatoes.
Poor baby.
Jaina was okay and was enjoying the babies company but we decided to cut our shopping trip and go have lunch and cool off. We headed to Johnnie's and then just decided to head back to my house. We talked for a couple hours and let the girls play.
Jaina was having quite a bit of a sharing issue with Chloe which I hope she's over that stage by the time Jolee is one!

Later in the afternoon our neighbor Olivia and her son Sklyer came over to swim with Jaina for a while. They were having such a blast.
Just screaming, splashing and playing.
It was so funny when he got here he said "Oh Jaina, your pool is SO big" haha. So cute!
I told Sklyer to come down and swim with Jaina anytime he wanted too!

Today Justin and Jaina headed over to his mom and step dad's house to go swimming and eat dinner.
I decided not to go becaue I just had way to much stuff to get done before the work week started.
Sunday is my only day to do any grocery shopping because I have to pick Jaina up from daycare every day and we just don't have time.
I first headed to Target to do our gift registery.
We decided on the spur of the moment that we are going to have a diaper shower/BBQ the first weekend of July. I didn't want to do a formal shower with just girls. I thought it would be fun to do a BBQ, have all the ladies bring their husbands to keep Justin company and the kids could swim in the pool and the girls could do the shower stuff inside. Very casual. I think it should be fun!
We don't need to many things but I did register for a new diaper bag, bottles, bibs, headed towel, bottle rack and things like that and of course diapers! I did see something really cool that I did not have with Jaina and thats a bottle sterilizer! Its this machine that does it in minutes! I'm hoping to get that! No more boiling them in a pot! That takes forever, lol
Then I had to pick up a couple new dress shirts for work. This week I noticed my belly hanging out of my shirts at work more then one time. Thats no good at all, lol
And  then I of course did all the mom chores of grocery shopping and getting things ready for this week.

While at Wal-mart I was on the look out for 50 Shades of Grey but they were sold out. I normally do not like or read things that the whole world is obessed with, like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and all those other books BUT one of the nuses at work has got me convienced that I NEED to read this book. She keeps giving me tid bits about it and now I'm super curious and interested in reading it but sadly they didn't have it.
 I'll keep lookin though :)

And as promised a picture of Justin's shaved cat.
Hahahaha! Poor thing looks so pitiful.
All of about 2 pounds.
Normally this cat and I are NOT friends. She bites and growls at me, the dog and my two cats.
He shaved her because she is very long haired and during the summer it gets really matted and I always fuss because it gets so clumped up and I find hair balls all over the house. So he finally took her. He had everything shaved but her head and tail. Ha!
I think she was a little embarrassed because the first full day she would not come inside at all and normally she lays on our bed 24/7 or she felt cool enough to actually enjoy being outside.
I can't help but pick her up now. She's just to darn cute not too, Lol.

34 weeks

Yes, 8 1/2 months pregnant and let me tell ya....I feel 8 1/2 months pregnant.
If you really want to know what it's like to be this big and pregnant try to think of a time when you really stuffed yourself eating and then felt bloated. Imagine feeling that way 24/7.
It's HOT!
Very hot.... There's no other way of describing how hot it is. I litterally keep the a/c on 70 at all times and at night I have our ceiling fan going AND I have an extra floor fan I keep on me at night and believe it or not I wake up sweating.
And believe it or not I still have 6 to maybe even 8 weeks left :(
This week has been pretty good. I have great energy until mid week and then I start slowing down.
No Braxton pains this week (Thank You Jesus)
The only pain I've really had is trying to roll out of bed and get comfortable sleeping.
The only thing I've craved this week has been strawberry cake with strawberry icing and strawberry and banana shakes. And my sweet daughter and husband actually made me a strawberry cake last night too!
There are alot of things that I just can't physically do anymore. Jaina has been a GREAT help too! If I can't bend down to get something she helps me and has been helping me with everything. I have come to relize that having Jaina and Jolee 4 years apart isnt going to be all that bad. Jaina is going to be a great help to me and Jolee (hopefully). I was trying to imagine having them closer in age and kept thinking that probably would have been tough for me. There's no way I could have had a baby and be pregnant with a baby at the same time. I guess everything does work out the way it's suppose to.
I've had a couple dreams this week about delievering Jolee. In my dreams the delivery has gone really smooth without one single problem.
I'm hoping my dreams are true.
I'm starting to actually dread this delivery. I can't mentally block it out of my head anymore because that day can basically approach at anytime now. By next week I can have this baby anytime she wants to come.
I'm hoping that they will give me an epidural and I will fall asleep and by the time I wake up it will be time to push and she will magically appear, lol but thats only wishful thinking.....trust me.
I want to see her and have her here already, I just dont want to go through the birthing process :(
I think about and pray about this daily.

Blog Slump

I'm in a blog slump.
I really didn't have anything to write about until grandma posted these pictures of Jaina.
How adorable is she!
And getting some puppy love at the airport!
So sweet!
Goodnight all.

Hair

When Justin picked Jaina up from school today she had another CUTE hair style made by her teacher.

I asked her if the teacher does all the girls hair or just her hair and she said "my teacher does all the girls hair"
Justin also got his cat shaved and its the funniest thing I've seen  in a while. His cat is long haired and it tends to get clumped up so he took her to the vet to get her shaved. When I pulled up this afternoon she looked like she weight all of about 2 pounds and only has fur around her head and tail.
Normally she stays inside at all times but hasn't come in once tonight. I think she might be a little embarassed, lol. I will defiantely take a picture of her when I get a chance.

Just Jaina

Were trying to get intto the swing of things around here.
This week is Jaina's actual first full week of daycare. Even when she was a baby and I was working full time at the funeral home she would only go two days a week. But now that I'm full time again at work we just thought it would be easier on all of us to keep her in full time and get her into a routine.
Its been a big adjustment going from a full time stay at home mom to a full time working mom.
Don't get me wrong....I really do like working, its just the whole balancing act of getting everything prepared for everyone the night before. But were making it.
I'm just wondering how in the world I'm going to do it with two kids and keep thinking to myself how in the world did my mom do it with three kids!!! Crazy!

Yesterday when I picked Jaina up from daycare her teacher had fixed her hair like this! Lol
I asked if she cried while the teacher was fixing it because she throws a tantrum if I even brush it but she said no she didn't cry.

Over the weekend we went by Target and I let her pick out her very own bottle of nail polish and let her paint them all by herself.

Not to bad for a 3 year old!
She was so excited and proud of her nails!
I think she did a fabulous job!

Late Mother's Day Gift

The last day Jaina was in day care was the day before Mother's Day. Grandma was down and then she went to Tennessee for awhile. I remember how upset she was because she wasn't going to be able to give me my Mother's Day gift. So Monday she was finally able to come home with my gift and I absolutely LOVE it!!
Its a plaster of her tiny little hand.
I thought it was so sweet! She couldn't wait to show me it.
Here's what the bottom says :)
She also made this card for me with her hand print

With a sweet sweet letter inside

She also drew me a picture!
She was also excited to show me her rain drop she painted
 And her flower!
I LOVE all her little art stuff she does at school. I've been collecting them in a box but will eventually weed out the goods ones and keep them. I wish I could keep everything she does but that's probably not going to happen. Thats why I love taking pictures of all her stuff so if I do throw out some of her stuff I can atleast go back and look at it.
Its just all so sweet :)

A birthday, Father's Day and changes

This weekend we had a house filled with company.
Friday my parents came down to be here for my sister Steph's birthday.
While we were waiting on our company to arrive Jaina played in her big girl swimming pool.
Grandma got this pool for her while she was down and Jaina loves it.
It's much better then the pool I got her last year. This pool we will be able to use over and over every summer.

We went and picked out a cake for my sister and then waited for her to come over. My mom made dinner and then we celebrated with cake and gifts. Jaina was so excited and kept saying, "this is the best party ever".

Jaina wrote in my sisters card telling her how much fun her party was and thanking her for the cake and presents, lol.

Jaina also gave her daddy, paw paw and uncle Allie their Father's Day cards.
They all enjoyed them.
She loves her daddy so much and is such a daddy's girl.

Then after the party was over she tortured Mimi by making her dress up like a princess, Haha!
(She told me she would kill me if I put this on the Internet but I think its adorable :)

Sunday after my parents left we got ready to go see Justin at the fire station for Father's Day

She was SUPER excited to go because she got to ride in her new car seat. I thought it was time to change out her old one since she is out growing it and she's had it since she was a baby.
I was really nervous to buy it for her because of the car seat belt but its working out to be just fine. I guess it was more of me seeing her in a bigger seat and letting go of the old one.

Jaina was excited to see her daddy when we got there!

Isn't this just the sweetest picture :)
I'd like to say Happy Father's Day to my dad who has always been there for me and provided all the things in life that I needed to become the women I am today.
I'd also like to say Happy Father's day to all the grandpa's and uncles! We all love and cherish yall.
And a BIG Happy Father's Day to Justin.
He is truly our rock! Over the years I've seen him grow into the man he is today. He works SO hard for our family and provides everything that we need. He always finds a ways to make it work for "his girls". Jaina is truly truly blessed to have such a loving, caring, hard working father who takes moments out of his day to read a book to her, play ball with her and watch her play.

Happy Father's Day!

33 weeks

33 weeks!
There's definitely no hiding it now!
This week has been pretty good. I'm still having those dreadful Braxton Hicks. My energy level has been pretty high but I'm still super tired in the evenings but now that Jaina is home I'm just going to have to keep going until bed time. No naps after work :(
My hips are starting to really hurt especially at night because I sleep on my sides and my body is alot more sore these days.
I'm still getting up atleast 5 times a night to go to the bathroom and its hard for me to get out of bed. I have to actually grab the side of the bed and roll out, lol.
Justin has to help me up if I'm sitting or taking a bath and I have to double check to make sure I have two matching shoes on before I leave the house because I can't see my feet, lol.
This week the only thing I've craved was Mexican food and strawberry banana shakes.

I'm starting to have little anxiety episodes about delivering this baby especially when I start having contractions. As long as I keep busy I'm okay with not thinking about it but the minute I do I start to panic thinking about my epidural not working, the horrific contractions I had, the back labor, being in labor for 23 hours, the uterine inversion and thinking "how in the heck did I get myself in this situation again!" And the bad part is, is that I'm more terrified of having a c-section. Its SO true what they say...a women will forget the pains of labor but trust me it allllll comes back the minute you have a contraction! I KNOW I will be a hot mess when I go into labor and will probably cry the entire time. This baby has to come out one way or another.
I'm also having fears of when and where my water will break. I'm praying and hoping that I'll be at home and not at work or at the store. I remember distinctly what that felt like and I would be so embarrassed if it was in public. But knowing that I will not be induced I'll just have to take that chance : /

Jaina came home with the cutest little outfit from Tennessee for her baby sister.
And the cutest little shoes :)

This outdoor chair and I have became friends. Yes its currently in our bedroom. When we sold our brown couches we sold our recliner as well. I miss it SO much. So this one will have to do.
Its one of those gravity chairs from Academy. Their actually really comfy but not as comfy as a recliner.
I also can hear my babies heart beat when ever I want to with Justin's stethoscope. I use to have an actual doppler that I used with Jaina and have torn this house up and down looking for it and can not find it anywhere but this works just as well.
In just 48 more days we will be able to meet our little girl.
We can't wait!
