Game day ball

Jaina's team had a game today against the Holland Pink Sox.
She did a really really good job batting today. She hit 3 times and ran to second base each time without getting tagged out. She is defiantly improving with each game
She also got to play the entire game. She still kicks dirt around and looses focus but she is doing a great job at listening to her coaches
Running to second
Jolee loves to watch sissy play. I picked up Jaina's tball pictures before the game and her picture package came with a button. I was wearing it at the game and Jolee pointed to the button and said "Sissy" and then said "ball".
Jaina even got to play catcher today!
Jolee likes to clap when the crowd goes wild
We sat in our own chairs today since the bleachers were already filled. Jolee did a better job at not running around so much today
The game went by quick and we won 14-1!
Jaina even got the game day ball!
She was beyond excited and said "mom look what I got"!
She had to sleep with it tonight when I tucked her in, lol
My uncle came to the game since Justin had to work, when we got home he had a surprise for both girls.
Jolee got a hat, a new Barbie and snacks. Of course the snacks won, lol
Jaina got the Frozen Elsa doll. She was just saying last night while we were watching the movie for the millionth time that Elsa was her favorite
Jolee in her new hat
We decided to head to the creek and ran into the tail end of the Earth Day festival in town.
She got to do a few crafts before it was over
She made a life cycle of a butterfly out of noodles and then while we were down at the creek her sister pulled one of the noodles off her plate and tried to eat it :)
Always entertaining with my children, lol
Looking at bugs
Then we headed to the creek
Here she is throwing rocks in the creek
Jaina got to swim for a bit
And here is my babies tball photo!

Early birthday celebration

Monday is Justin's 32nd birthday. Since we are flying to Tennessee I thought we would celebrate as a family a little bit early so he could enjoy his presents.
Jaina helped me make her daddy his cake today. Jaina decided on a chocolate or in her words "choclick" cake with chocolate icing
The birthday boy with his girls
Family photo
My uncle joined us for dinner. I made lasagna and then we sang happy birthday to him
We ate cake
Then he opened his gifts from the girls and I
Jaina got him a card of a gorilla picking his nose. She thought it was so funny
My uncle got Justin a new hammock. Its a double hammock! We set it up outside tonight and we all had to try it out. Its nice! I see myself taking many summer naps outside now
Aww the hammock life! I could get use to this!!
Jaina had Earth day at school last week
They made the earth and stars and learned about recycling
This is what we did yesterday morning while Jaina was at school. We had coffee outside and snuggled with our other baby
Yesterday evening we went out to eat at Corona's. I told Justin I needed Mexican food one last time before we go out of state because no one makes Tex-Mex like Texas!
Jolee sat in a booster like a big girl and ate her beans and rice all by herself
Then we fed the ducks
Jolee was NOT excited about that and did not want them coming near her
My beautiful girl :)
She said "mom, look at all those ducks"
My roses are blooming like crazy
These are darker pink in color
They are finally blooming on my trellis
And these are lighter pink
My herbs are doing great
Here is my olive tree I planted not too long ago
And I have two sweet potato plants that I started in doors and recently moved them out doors. I didn't know if they would last outside but so far so good

I would also like to say Happy Birthday and congrats to my sister who gave birth on Tuesday March 22, to my NEPHEW Austin Richard wall. He is the first boy in our family since my uncle was born! Congrats and I'm so excited to meet HIM!!!!

20 Months

So as usual this post is extremely late.
Jolee you are 20 months old!
Let's see what you have been up too lately
You are a busy girl these days. And you have a lot to say!
You can now say Sissy which sounds more like shissy. You can say hot, cold, pooh pooh and ball. You also say sleepy which sounds like shleeeeeepy and you can say Jaina's name but comes out like Naina.
You mumble and talk to yourself ALL the time. You also will grab my attention by screaming loudly moooooooooma!
You try to have conversations with me which kinda go something like this "moooooooma" then I say "what" and then you will say "shissy dah dah nah me dah shush ma ka, Dixi bite".
You like to clap your hands the same time you are sucking your thumb. You squint your eyes when you eat and like to close your eyes when you chew your food. You also open your mouth really wide and stick your food way back in your mouth when you eat, which makes momma nervous that your gonna choke. You will now eat peaches and pineapple and you actually beg for it. Your code word for-I'm hungry is cheese. When you are hungry you have learned to climb on your high chair and stand on the railing, which indicates-feed me. I've been trying new things with you, things that momma doesn't even like. I gave you some shredded wheat and you ate it up. I'm trying to feed you things that are different. Just because I don't like it won't mean that you won't so I'm opening my door and buying new things just for you :)
You don't eat much when you first wake up and usually are starving after your morning nap and will eat just about anything even the dog and cat food! You will also turn your bowl up to eat every last drop or juice and you love smearing food all in your eyes and hair. It's fun!
(we had a minor meltdown during this photo shoot)
You are terrified of the nail clippers. I DREAD having to cut your nails. You scream bloody murder. You've hated them since you've been born. Even when you see me cutting my nails you scream and cry, lol.
When you don't like something or want to do something by yourself you give it a good shove out of the way. And that includes momma's hand. You defiantly show signs of Independence when its something you want.
Your sleeping has been a little off track. You have been screaming out at least once a night and you will call my name until I come get you. I try and avoid coming to get you but that doesn't work anymore. So of course I give in and get you, carry you back to our room and snuggle with you the rest of the night.
You still take a nap in the mornings and are usually out by 8pm. Jaina has been wanting to sleep with you so bad lately and we've tried several times but I usually have to separate yall because yall would never go to sleep if I didn't.
I am anxious to switch you to a big girl bed but then got to thinking that you would be my child to not stay in a regular bed and run out of your room. So I may leave you in your crib a little longer then I Planned.
You love playing with Jaina but boy do all fight, slap, bite and yell at each other. Yall can be sweet but most of the time I'm playing referee. When you want something boy your gonna get it, and aint nothing stopping you. And look out if you take something away cause somebodies gonna get hurt, lol.
You wear size 18 month clothes. Size 5 shoe. And size 3 diaper. You have red curly hair, brown eyes and sensitive fair skin.
And you have learned how to turn the light switch on and off.
You love Sesame Street, chocolate milk, your shopping cart, shoes, stuffed animals, taking a bath and playing in the water, baby dolls, toys you can ride or push, the play house, talking to Do Do, laughing, snuggling on the couch and most of all your sister.
You are smart, beautiful, funny, lovable, sweet and kind.
You mean the world to all of us and love you with all our hearts. You are a joy to us sweet girl. We love you Jolee Isabelle!
