Celebrating Allies Big Day

Today is Uncle Allie's birthday but he wanted to celebrate yesterday because the weather was suppose to be really nasty today.
The girls made him a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
They took turns putting the letters on.
They were ready to party!
We stuck "trick" candles on his cake. 7 for the big 67!
The girls just thought this balloon was the funniest balloon ever and wanted to get it for his birthday.
We took him to the Pizza Place in town. It was good as usual. Who doesn't love pizza!
After dinner we drove around in Mill Creek to look at all the Christmas lights. We had fun.
Once we got back to the house we celebrated by singing happy birthday.
And blowing out those "trick" candles.
We ate cake and he opened his gifts.
The girls gave him his card and then he opened his gifts.
Afterwards we headed into town to buy fireworks and then back home.
We enjoyed celebrating his birthday!
Happy Birthday!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Before Grandma DoDo and Richard left the girls gave them their Christmas gifts.
The girls gave them a framed photo with their school pictures in it
 Grandma loved it.
Then Grandpa Richard opened his gift from the girls.
The girls worked really hard on their gift. They gave him a framed photo of some of their art work. They drew little pictures with them and grandpa and them with grandma.
They loved it!
Jolee was excited to show him the picture of them two together.
Then Jaina gave grandma and grandpa her gift she got them.
Jaina got to use her reading points she saved up at school to "buy" something from the school store. She got them a 2018 calendar.
Then she gave me and her daddy a gift from school as well.
She got a "Book of Why" for us to read together.
We loved it! It was very sweet of her to use her very own reading points she worked so hard on to buy us gifts for Christmas.
Makes my heart melt :)

Christmas Galore

A few weekends ago after Dorothy and Richard left for Wichita Falls all my family came down for a little Christmas get together at our house.
My sister and I made Christmas lunch and we all ate before opening gifts. We had enough food to feed an army and plenty left over.
We got to meet my cousins new baby Harper for the first time. She was just precious!
And here's my sister Steph with her baby Saylor.
Cutest little thing ever!
After lunch it was time for the kids to tear into their gifts. All the kids were patient and took turns opening their gifts and looking to see what each other got.
The kids had a fun time!
The girls got lots of games, clothes, toys
Jolee couldn't wait to open up this one and see what was making that awful noise, lol

Shopkins for Alyssa
And a pretty dream catcher for Jaina
Baby Saylor enjoying her food while her cousin feeds her
After the kids opened their gifts the adults sat around and talked while the kids played Speak Out.
Hahahahha Jolee!
The new babies playing
Saylor is the BEST baby! I didn't hear her make a peep. She never cried and has the best little baby personality.
Sunday morning everyone left and went back home. Justin and I spent most of the day cleaning while the girls played with their new toys.

Santa's coming to town

Christmas Eve I had to work but that evening once I got home we all got dressed and headed to the Christmas Eve candle light service at church.
I'm SO glad we went. This was our first time going to the Christmas Eve service and I loved it! I think that will be our new family tradition. It was a great service and a packed house to remember the birth of Jesus.
Christmas Eve kisses
We ate dinner and then the girls and I made chocolate chip cookies for Santa.
While the cookies were baking the girls threw out some "reindeer" food aka (oatmeal with glitter) out in the front yard so Santa knew exactly which house was ours.
After the girls went to bed it was time for a little wine time while wrapping presents and putting Santa gifts together.
The stockings are stuffed.
And we all said goodbye to Rudolph until next year.
After a few hours all the presents were wrapped
And the Santa gifts put together and out for the girls.
We were excited to see the girls excitement in the morning.
Jaina asked for a tent for her room, Santa also brought Jolee a panda bear, Jaina a stuffed dog, a critter house and a karaoke machine
Can you tell she was excited about her tent?!
They woke us up around 7:30 excited for us to get up so they could rip into their gifts.
Stockings first.
The girls were excited about all their gifts.
They even got presents mailed to them from Pops, Granny Pat, cousin Chloe, Courtney, Larry and Susan.
A dog treat making kit
nail art
A light bright
and a game
So many new toys to play with
Toy overload
And Lego's!
I got Justin a turn table with lots of old records and he got me some perfume I wanted and a pretty necklace
Once we were done opening gifts the girls played while I started on Christmas lunch.
Allie came over for lunch and then the girls played some more and enjoyed the day.
We hope everyone had a great Christmas!
