Christmas 2020

Merry Christmas everyone!
Does she not look grown up or what in this picture?!
Did it feel like Christmas to y’all yesterday?
This year has definitely been the longest but yet fastest year ever. And especially this month it has just flown by and Christmas came upon really quickly. Yesterday just felt like another day for me it didn’t really feel like Christmas it was 70° outside and that Christmas spirit just wasn’t really there. Did y’all feel the same?
I guess it’s different for adults because these girls were super excited that it was Christmas especially Jolee.
Jewell really did enjoy her Christmas this year last year she was a little too little for Christmas. She enjoyed opening her presents and seeing all the action happen.
The night before Christmas the girls took their showers with no hesitation and were in bed early to await the arrival of Santa Claus. After they were sound asleep I went out and put out their Santa gifts. This year all Jaina really asked for was a desk and this clear chair so Santa brought her the chair. The only thing Jolie asked for for Christmas was a hover board. I had my thoughts against the hover board and really didn’t want her to have one. But a lot of my friends kids have them and said they were no big deal as long as they were their helmets and safety gear so I went ahead and took the time and got one. Knowing the girls they’re not gonna do anything stupid to make themselves fall so I know that they will be OK on it.And I got Jewell this bouncing puppy and spin. She loved it
The girls were up by 7:45. Jolee came running into our room to tell us what Santa brought them.
Jaina no longer believes in Santa so you could kind of tell the Christmas spirit wasn’t as joyful as Jolee's Christmas spirit. Jolee was so excited to unwrap her presents. Justin and I went and woke up Jewell, got our coffee and sat down to watch them open their presents

Jolee mostly asked for LOL dolls and her big gift was an LOL doll house. She also got a pair of Heely’s skate shoes and a horse set
I had a hard time coming up for presents for Gina. I asked her for months before Christmas what she wanted and all she told me was stationary stuff. She is kind of hard to buy for believe it or not she’s always kind of been that way. But I put my thinking hat on and got her a new black backpack purse and wallet. I also got her a jewelry box which was super hard to find this year. Some stationary stuff in her big gift was her desk for her room.

Jewell, I got her some pajamas and a few toys. She loves the fisher price little people toys so I got her a few of those sets and her big gift from us was her electric riding pony.

Grandma DoDo sent The girls a big box full of goodies. They got clothes, gloves and hats and iPads! They were super excited about the iPads

They also opened their gift from Kimbra and Wayman. They got chalk Pens for their hair and each got a science kit and Jewell got a book

For Christmas dinner Justin made us a turkey. I was really wanting a turkey for Christmas since we had him for Thanksgiving and I made a few sides and a pie. Allie came over and ate with us and brought the girls one little small gift since we are doing Christmas at mom’s next week.
We had a great lunch and then went outside and enjoyed the nice weather. We took the girls on a walk and let Jewell ride her electric pony down the street and back while Jaina Road the hover board

After Allie left I have a big task of putting Jolee’s LOL doll house together while Justin cleaned up from Christmas dinner. This dollhouse took me almost 3 hours to put together but it finally got done and the girls were excited to play with it.
I will have to say this year’s Christmas nearly broke the bank but we got it done the girls were extremely happy and got everything that they asked for. We went to bed early Justin and I were completely wore out and pooped by the time we closed our eyes.
We hope that everyone had a great Christmas this year.

Christmasy Things

This month has went by so quick. Actually this whole year has been the longest but yet somehow been the shortest year. I can’t believe it’s almost over. We are just about ready for Christmas. With this whole Covid thing we didn’t do a whole lot of Christmas activities. Instead we have been having a lot of Christmas movie nights and hot chocolate. And to tell you the truth I think the girls are just fine with that and so are we.
Earlier this month our work decided to go ahead and hold our annual Christmas remembrance program at work. Jolee begged to come with me so I let her put on one of her really pretty dresses and she came with me to help me pass out programs and cookies. She loves coming to the funeral home with me any chance she gets she is right there with me.
Doesn’t my girl looks so cute in her dress ☺️
When we got there till we got to help make cookies and sit out waters. She even got to hand out programs and the Christmas ornaments. But unfortunately we did not have a very good turn out this year. We only had two people show up. We were kind of bummed about it but we also expected it because we did not have a lot of people RSVP as back. And with Covid we figured it would be a low turn out but we had fun doing it and we all sure does look pretty.
Isn’t this felt a Christmas tree cute. I bought this off Amazon for Jewell and I think Jolee has played with it more than she has. LOL
It is all Velcro so she can take the presents and snowman and reindeer’s off and on the tree all she wants to.
Have y’all seen the new fad for this Christmas Coco bombs. It’s all the rage this year so in true fashion I had to go out and buy the ingredients to make some cocoa bombs for the girls. Actually I was just gonna buy them but I saw the chocolate molds at hobby lobby and went to head and picked one up. They were super easy to make and I bought them the Santa clause mugs at the dollar store.
They were super easy to make you just take regular melting chocolate heated up in the microwave and pour it into the molds. Pop the molds in the freezer for a couple of minutes take them out of the molds and they’re like little cups you can fill them with all kinds of things even ice cream. Can you put some hot cocoa and it was some marshmallows and put the top on and wa-la Coco bombs.
The girls were pretty excited because they have not seen them before or heard about them
Do you feel in my cup with milk and he can look up for about a minute and a half and drop the coco bomb into the milk
Then you wait patiently
Once the milk and the chocolate heat up together it breaks open the Coco bomb and you stir it all around And have yourself some hot chocolate. Easy Peezy
One thing I wish I could get Jolee for Christmas so that is to be able to bring tiny that but I’m afraid that’s just not gonna happen that’s one thing Santa can’t bring her 😥
