Welcome to Kindergarten

Last week we got Jolee all signed up for Kindergarten at Kindergarten Round Up.
She was soooooo excited! Can't you tell?!
Justin took her Tuesday morning since I had to work. He filled out all the paper work while she was interviewed by a kindergarten teacher. Justin said they asked her to count, say her ABC's and see if she could spell her name.
He said the teacher gave her a list of things to work on this summer. When I got home she was SO excited to show me her goodie bag she got from the teacher.
I'm so happy and sad for her all at one time. I know she's ready for Kindergarten and to go to school with sissy which makes me happy. But on the other hand it makes me sad to know that she is growing up and will be in school in just a few short months. It seems like just yesterday she was born and I was holding her for the first time.
It's a bittersweet  moment :)
We are proud of you Jolee!
I hope this school year brings you lots of learning and fun!.
I hope you love it and enjoy the days ahead.!

Austin's Carnival Party

Saturday was Austin's 3rd birthday party.
And as you can see, he had a carnival themed party.
My sister had it decked out in all things carnival. She had a hot dog roller, pop corn machine, sno-cone machine
and I was in charge of the cotton candy maker
I got pretty good at making those
She had the cake table, gifts and games outside
The kids LOVED the cotton candy machine
Ha! Jolee and her clown nose
My sister had a couple game stations set up in the back yard
The kids took turns playing each game
 and enjoyed winning prizes
They had a blast

Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday to Austin
And watch him open his presents

After the birthday party was over we just hung out and talked
The kids played in the back yard and even got wet with water balloons
Justin, Jolee and I stayed at my sisters house for the night
And Jaina went back to Mimi's house for the night. They stopped at the Frosty spoon before heading home
Sunday we picked up Jaina and headed home. As you can see the girls slept all the way home.
They were partied out!

A Day at the Beach

Friday morning Justin and I got up early and headed to east at a tiny bistro down by the strand. We had quiche and cheese grits
We enjoyed each others company and we also enjoyed the sound of the birds chirping
After breakfast we drove around the island and then headed to the Strand to do a little shopping
At noon we headed towards Houston to pick up the girls from my parents. My Dad had a doctors appointment so we grabbed the girls from them for the day and brought them back to our room. They LOVED our condo and the view
We quickly changed into our swim suits and headed for the beach
Off to the water they went
They LOVED it! Can't you tell?!
They played in the water while I got my tan on
They played for a good two hours

Then they played in the sand and built sand castles
It didn't take too long before they were pooped and ready to go back to the condo
We headed back, took showers and let the girls play in the condo for a while before meeting back up with my mom to drop them off
Then it was time to get ready and go to dinner
We headed to a Greek seafood place called Olympia
It was good but not as good as Gaidos
Of course, stuffed shrimp and fish for the night
After dinner we walked down the Strand to La Kings and got some ice cream and a truffle
Then headed back to our room for the night

Gaidos

Friday after we dropped the girls off at my parents house Justin and I headed to Galveston to stay the night. Justin got us a room right across from the water. It was a nice view!
That evening we headed to dinner at Gaidos
Have you ever been to Gaidos? O-M-G it is amazing! Like one of the best restaurants I have EVER eaten at. Gaidos have been around since the early 1900's. It's an awesome experience
They sell mostly seafood so if your not a seafood lover then this is not the place for you. I got the stuffed shrimp and Justin got fish and we also shared some crawfish tails :)
YUM!
After dinner we headed back to our room and enjoyed our evening

Last weeks randoms

A little game of Monopoly on a rainy day after school. Jaina loves Monopoly and is always asking me and Justin to play. I like the game but it's like the longest game in the world! Lol. It was fun though spending quality time with her
Look at the little stick man Jaina drew
That's pretty dang good!
Granny Pat and Pops sent a little moo-la to the girls for Easter.
They say thank you!
Last Wednesday Jaina's second grade class had a field trip to the Round Rock Express to watch a baseball game. It was educational day. Justin was off so he met Jaina's class at the ball park and watched the game with her.
Thursday we all took off to Houston. Justin booked us a room in Galveston Thursday and Friday
We stopped at my parents to drop the girls off. Mimi gave the girls their Easter baskets.
Books, bubbles, candy, side walk chalk and a new outfit
Is this not the cutest shirt in the world?!
I LOVE it! And so does Jolee
My sister sent me this picture
Puppy kisses
