Time with Jaina

Last Thursday after Jaina and Jolee got home I decided to go get a pedicure. Jaina has been begging to have a "girls night" so I took her with me.
At this age Jolee is too young to enjoy a pedicure, plus she hates for her nails to be painted but I'm sure one of these days she will want to come to the salon with her momma and get her toes done too.
Jaina was loving "girls night". And I love Paris nail because I mean look how cute those little panda chairs are for her size.
Normally if she comes with me I just allow her to get her toes painted but since the Father/Daughter dance was coming up I decided to spoil her a little bit and get her a kid pedicure.
She LOVED it! And got her toes painted dark red with silver sparkles.
Too cute!
Love spending one on one time with my girl :)

Vroom Vroom

I love my Trailblazer but it's almost 10 years old. I drove the heck out of it. It carried Jaina around as a new born and brought Jolee home from the hospital and we have alot of other great memories in it but this past year we have had nothing but problems with it. About every other month something went wrong with it and then when I was driving to Wichita during Christmas I almost didn't make it. Luckily I made it back home and took it to the shop. The shop owner told me it was time for a new car and I agreed with him.
I have been eyeing the GMC Acadia's for quite some time now. My original plan was to wait until August when Jolee got out of daycare but since I needed one asap now was as good as a time then ever so off to the dealer we went.
We looked at several dealers but I couldn't make up my mind. Then that following week when I was at work Justin brought me keys to this silver Acadia. It is a 2014 and only had 13,000 miles on it. It has a 3rd row bench like I've been wanting and the two bucket seats behind the drivers seats. All leather. The only thing it was missing was a t.v. I really wanted a t.v. for the girls in the back for when we went on road trips. Well the guy at the dealer said if we bought the car at the price it was listed for then he would install a new tv for free. SOLD! Now it has everything in the car that I wanted and I LOVE it! We bought it in January and at first I felt like I was driving a bus/van because its definitely bigger then my last car but now since I've been driving it for a while it's become second nature.
I'm so happy with it.
Now to just pay it off!

Salado Father/Daughter Dance

Remember a couple weeks ago I posted about Jaina's dress and told you that we went shopping for one but couldn't tell you which one she chose because she wanted to keep it a surprise from Justin
Well here is it!
Doesn't she look adorable in it! I'm so proud of her choice.
Very, very classy!
Simple and elegant is her style and I hope she sticks with it. She likes all things blingy, shiny, that glitter and sparkle.
She is very particular too. She doesn't like things that are tight and wants it to fit just right.
She is definitely a girly, girl.
We found the dress at Sears and then shopped around more but she really, really liked this one. We happened to be in Burlington Coat Factory and spotted the same dress for ten bucks cheaper so we got it.
The dress is a satin peach color with a rim of diamonds and pearls around the top
And a diamond belt clasp around the waist
And a pretty little bow on the back
She wore her pink rose earrings
And asked to wear some pink lip gloss
She also asked me to curl her hair all over and wanted to wear it down
We looked everywhere for her shoes. She wanted a particular kind the day we were out shopping for her dress but they didn't have any in her size so we shopped at several stores today until she found the white ballerina shoes at Wal-mart.
I took a ton of pictures of my beautiful little girl
Growing up too fast!
This year's theme for the dance was Alice in Wonderland.
Here is the invitation

I skipped the corsage this year. Only because they are so big and heavy and she says they scratch her arm up and ends up taking it off at the dance. My idea was to make her a corsage but that didn't happen. Instead I got two loose roses and cut them so they could wear them on their shirt and dress
So pretty :)
I put a little white pin in the middle of the roses to make it look like a pearl

Then it was time to take some pictures with daddy :)
One of my favorite pictures of the night. Jaina giving Justin his rose
Then Justin giving Jaina her rose
And of course a picture with Jolee. Next year she will be big enough to go to the dance with her daddy
Then it was off to the dance to have fun
Jaina said they had a blast and danced the whole night. She said they ate refreshments, took a picture together and saw a bunch of friends from school
Here is Jaina and Leighton. So glad they had a great time!

These Days

These days are flying by us. It' already almost spring. I love spring. I LOVE Easter decorations. My second favorite holiday. Plus I love Easter candy, especially the marshmallow eggs that come in the egg carton. My all time favorite candy besides Whitman's Chocolates.
Spring brings us closer to the end of the school year. Can yall believe in just a short few months I will have a 3rd grader and a Kindergartner! Yikes!
Jaina  has been riding the bus home almost every afternoon. Since our neighbor Leah moved it's been a little challenging getting her on the right bus to go to Leah's new house. So I now work until 3pm and get off work in time to be home when Jaina gets of the bus. I will usually pick Jolee up before or after Jaina gets home.
Next year Justin and I have decided to put both girls in the after school program at school. Jaina said she is NOT going to daycare, lol. So the after school program it is. The girls will go straight to the gym and then be with the teachers until we come pick them up. The principal said all the after school kids love it. They play games, play in the gym, watch movies, have a snack and do all kinds of fun stuff. (So pretty much like daycare) lol.
This will help Justin and I out by not having to worry who is gonna pick up the girls and having to race home to beat the bus.
Jaina has been doing good in school this year. We are really proud of her!
Here's her report card

Quick Trip to Mimi's

Sunday Justin had to make a quick run down to Houston to check on a house for a man who was inquiring him about lights. I had to work Sunday and still wasn't feeling that great so I had the girls go with him since Jaina was off from school on Monday.
Once they got there Mimi had their Valentine bags waiting on them full of snacks, dog shirts and pj's.
Jaina wanted this dog shirt so bad from Justice and the day we went to the store they were out of her size. So my Mom ordered it from Justice and had it there waiting on her when they got there.
Here they are in their matching pj's. Jaina said they had lots of fun at Mimi's. Jolee said they got to play Barbie's and eat mac n cheese.
Glad they got to see Mimi and PawPaw even if it was only for one day.

Jolee's "School Work"

Jolee is so proud of her school work. Every time she brings something home from school she has to show it off to me and Justin. She gets such a grin on her face when we tell her how proud we are of her.
I was and still am a little apprehensive about her starting Kindergarten this year but I think she will do just fine.
She tells me her "favorite" song right now is the ABC song.
And she can count almost to 20 all by herself
She can already count how many objects are in front of her and how many fingers I hold up
I have to give her teacher Mrs. Charity all the credit. She is doing a fantastic job with teaching Jolee and Jolee just loves Mrs. Charity.
She gives Mrs. Charity a great big hug every morning and afternoon when she leaves.
She is also working on writing her own name. She definitely has the E's down!

It's Always FUN with Allie

Today I had to work and I was in a little bind for a lack of a babysitter so I asked my uncle if he could watch the girls at his house while I worked. Well instead of being at the house all day he took the girls for a day of fun in Waco!
They first went to McDonalds and got pancakes for breakfast and then hit up the Cameron Park Zoo
He said it was perfect weather for all the animals to be out and up close for all too see
But he said it was a little over crowded with people today
Cute picture and a great photographer taking the photo
He said they still had alot of fun today!

Cute picture of my girls!

After the zoo they headed to the Dr. Pepper Museum
For ice cream (chocolate of course)
And a float!
Then it was off to the candy store

Haha! Cute glasses!
Then a pit stop at Buc-ees before heading back home
The girls had a blast and were asleep the minute we got in the car to go home
Thanks Again!
