Chappell Hill

Sunday on our way back home the girls and I stopped in Chappell Hill to go to the bathroom at the gas station. On our way out of the gas station we saw a sign that said Lavender Farm this way. So we followed the signs 7 miles out of town.
The 7 miles out to the farm was so pretty! But once we got to the farm I was highly disappointed, lol. I was expecting a huge farm with lots of bushels of Lavender where we could walk the fields and pick our own but instead it was about 6 little rows of a whole lot of nothing, lol.
So needless to say there wasn't much to see.
The girls and I did go into their gift shop to look at all their lavender products
We took a few pictures
Looked at the goats
and the donkeys and then left to go back into town
Their town was hopping with lots of people. Only about 6 antiques stores so the girls and I got out and shopped. I even found a cute little sign to go in my kitchen
Pretty spring flowers
Love my girls

Aylssa turns 6!

The main reason we went to Houston this past weekend was to help celebrate Alyssa's birthday!
She turned 6 this past weekend!
She had a Shopkins skate party at Pearwood skating rink.
Isn't she cute in her Shopkins outfit
Here are the girls skating with the help of their "walkers"
Boy I wish they had these when I was little!
This was Jolee's second time to go skating and she LOVED it! She was tearing it up on the floor
Jaina on the other hand loathes skating. She is not a fan. She went around the floor a few times and was done. She gets scared and cries if she falls. Jolee fell a few times and got up like a champ and kept going
Austin was all about skating too. Just 2 years old and out on the floor skating with his walker, lol.
Alyssa's Shopkins cake. Too cute! Alyssa had her name announced in front of everyone that it was her birthday, we sang Happy Birthday to her, did the hokey pokey, ate cake and watched her open presents.
It was a good time!
Jolee was begging to take her picture with the puppy dog :) and couldn't wait to get back out on the floor to skate while Alyssa was opening her presents.
After the party was over we let the kids skate about another 15 minutes before we left. Jolee was so excited she decided to skate without her walker all by herself. I tried to help her but she stopped me with her hand and said "I got this" HA! So off she went!
So fun!
I told Justin if he ever had a father/daughter date with her to take her skating. That's like up her alley!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Friday I picked Jaina up early from school and us girls hit the road to Houston. Once we got to my parents house we all loaded up in my car and headed to Gringo's to eat. Here we are waiting...and waiting....and waiting for our table.
We came straight home, played a little and then went to bed
Saturday we had a busy day ahead. First the girls, my uncle and I hit up the Busy Bee Cafe in town to fuel up on a healthy breakfast.
The girls got Mickey Mouse pancakes!
So cute!
Then we hit up the local strawberry patch in my home town of Alvin
called Froberg's Farm
It was such a pretty day to pick strawberries
The girls enjoyed it

my uncle trying to show Jolee which strawberries to pick

We picked for about an hour and filled up 3 buckets

Arn't they cute in their little pink sunglasses :)

You only pick the ripe strawberries, they have rules you have to follow before you can go out into the fields
What you pick is what you pay for
And no eating the strawberries while you pick
Say cheese!
Jaina with her bucket
And Jolee with her bucket

Once we were done we went in the market and looked at all their different kinds of veggies
YUM!!
I heart sweets!
Jaina got a chocolate covered strawberry and Jolee got a Easter Bunny cookie
We had a great time. If you are ever in the Alvin area stop by Froberg's and pick some strawberries

Practice Makes Perfect

Ha! Doesn't Jolee look cute in her little head band :)
Jolee has soccer practice every Monday. When we first got to practice last week she did not want to practice at all. Actually all the kids were a little fussy. Spring break got to all of them. The coach was having a hard time teaching them, lol. After about ten minutes of pouting and finding out she wouldn't get any gummies if she didn't practice then she decided to go out there and dribble the ball around.
My pretty girl :)
Tuesday Jaina had baton practice. She really likes baton. She has really learned alot. She was showing me all her moves the other day and really surprised me.
They are having a recital next month and are practicing hard for it. I can't wait to see her perform!
Thursday this girl got to stay home with me and have a mommy date to Top Donuts. We ran errands and then came home and cleaned house
