September Randoms

Are these glasses not the cutest things ever on Jolee?!?!
Cheer camp got the girls like...…..
When your bow is bigger then your head, haha!
Jaina said in PE on Friday's they have a mile run club at school. She said she is up to a mile and a half. I told her that is great! She said her coach puts a dot on her arm every time she makes a lap around the track. She is always so excited to show me all those dots when I pick her up on Friday's.
Sponge Bob ice cream break while we wait for sissy to finish choir.
Last week we headed to dinner. Jaina wanted to take our picture. She is practicing. She is wanting a camera for her birthday so we shall see if she gets one.
Then it was my turn to take a picture of my girls.
Twinning :)
Snuggles and smiles in bed with my babies are always the best.
Can yall believe September is over!?

I'm a Cheerleader from Bow to Toe

 Tonight was the big game!
Cheering on Salado Vs. Connally
We ate pizza and then headed to the football field.
We got there a little early so I was able to snag a few cute pictures of the girls before the big game
Justin and Allie met us for pizza and then headed to the game with us

The girls got to cheer on the side line the whole second quarter
They were so cute and got to show off all the cheers they learned this week.
The girls looked like they were having a lot of fun out there
Then during the half time show all the girls got to perform a routine to Shake It Off by Taylor Shift
So cute!
Go Salado Eagles.
I sure am proud of my mini cheerleaders this week for working hard, practicing their routines and having fun at tonight's game.

Cheer Camp At SISD

This week the girls had a three day cheer camp after school and will perform at Friday's game this week.
Jaina has done it twice and this is Jolee's first year. We missed it last year because we were so busy with moving.
The girls have been working hard for the last three days. They will perform on the side line for the first half of the game and then will perform all together during the half time show.
I was able to see them practice this week and they all looked so cute.
Can't wait for Friday's game!

Open House 2018 in the Books

Tonight was open house. The girls were soooooooo excited.
Justin picked up the girls from cheer camp and I rushed home from work and met them up at the school. We went to Jolee's class first. She was super excited to show us around.
She showed us her desk. She did a scavenger hunt that Mrs. Naegele had out for all the kids as they arrived and then she showed us that she was the helper of the Day.
Then it was right next door to Jaina's class room, Mrs. Bender.
1st grade and 4th grade share the portable buildings together. 1st on one side and 4th on the other side. It makes life super easy for me and Justin this year. We can pull right up to their classroom doors and drop them off for school, Ha!
She showed us her homeroom where she learns math and science.
Then we went to Mrs. Hoelscher's class where she learns to read, spell and write.
The "Big Stage" is in Mrs. Hoelscher's classroom. They have to get up on the stage whenever they have to read in front of the classroom.
Then we headed to Mrs. Loa's classroom where she is learning Texas History and Social Studies.
The girls are working really hard in school and we are very proud of them! Keep up the great work girls, you can do anything!

Homecoming Week

Last week was homecoming spirit week at school. I love this little town because not only does the high school celebrate homecoming but they include all the grades. The whole towns truly gets involved.
Each day of the week the kids got to dress up in different things.
I have been crafty lately and made the girls some vinyl bows. I stuffed them with red and white sparkly balls and put a football on it.
.
Wednesday was wacky hair day. This was the best I could come up with at 6:30 in the morning.
Haha, Jolee didn't care, she loved it!
Friday was red out day. Everyone was dressed in red. Here is Jolee practicing her baton. She has really improved and actually listens to Mrs. Web. When I went to pick up the girls Mrs. Web even told me how proud she was of Jolee on how much she has improved. Way to go Jolee!
Jaina had choir on Thursday. Jaina said she really likes it. They practice a lot of different songs and playing with their voice boxes to figure out what pitch is right for them.
Jolee eating her snack waiting on sissy to finish choir practice.
And Jolee having fun with her friends in class :)

Earning the Firefighter Patch

Last Thursday I scheduled our Daisy Girl Scouts to meet at the fire station for a tour. The girls can earn what's called "fun patches". These fun patches are in addition to what they work on during the meetings and are usually done outside of the VFW where we meet.
Some of the fun patches are tour a fire station, tour the police station, post office, grocery store, vet, ect. So I asked Justin if we could tour the station and he said yes, of course!
I had all 7 girls, plus a new one! Which makes 8 Daisies in my group. Plus all of the extra brothers and sisters that tagged along. Justin started out inside the station in the living room talking about what fireman do and then answering some of their questions.
Then we moved to the kitchen and bedroom. All the girls started laughing when Justin said they have chores and they have to clean the toilets, lol. They thought that was hilarious.
Then we moved out into the truck bay and watched one of the fireman suit up in less then 3 minutes.
Then Justin talked about the parts on the truck.
The girls were so engaged and so were the parents. They were having a ball! I realized that even the girls were engaged. Even though we have been to the station to visit Justin a million times they have never really had a tour of what their Daddy does. So it was even fun for the girls. Even though Jolee's one and only question for him was, "what's next", hahaha!
The guys moved the truck outside where they turned on the lights, blew the horn and toned the sounds on the truck. They got a kick out of that.
Then they showed them how fast the water can pump out.
And they even got to take turns spraying the water
Hearing the sounds on the truck. They were loud!
Then they each got to go up in the truck and look around.
And believe it or not Justin talked for an hour. He thought it would only take 15 minutes.
After we were done all the girls got to take a picture with the firefighters and then went inside for a surprise. They got a red fire hat and a bag of goodies to take home.
Thank You Temple Fire and Rescue the girls loved earning their patch!!! And Justin did a great job!
