Over the last couple of days

No I haven't forgotten about blogging we've just been very busy these last couple of days and I'm so dog tired at night I can barley keep my eyes open.
Thursday, Jaina had swim lessons.
The parents have to stay the entire hour and can not leave the pool site which means I have to keep this booger busy the entire time.
She LOVES to play peek a boo or in my words "pee pie". I also keep her busy with lots of snacks.
Jaina is still very timid in the water, though she does what she is instructed to by the teacher even if she doesn't want too. She was second in line to the ladder until the teacher told them they had to learn how to tread water and then she moved to the back of the line and was the last person to try it. She also will NOT go down the big blue slide in the background either. She did the first day and it scared her because it shoots them off pretty far under water and she said she didn't like that.
After swim we headed out to my uncles house. My mom came down this weekend for a couple days. Jaina was SO excited to see her Mimi. Mimi brought the girls both a dress and a sack full of goodies!
We all had lunch in Cameron
And then my uncle and I took her to the Jail museum.
She has been to the Jail before. She likes to go in and see all the stuff displayed in each room
The lady that runs the museum lets her go into the rooms and look at all the "old fashion" things
The actual jail is upstairs. Its several stairs high and she only made it to the second floor. She was to scared to go any further.
Here she is behind bars!
Then we toured the old girl scout house
The jail was shut down in the 70's. My uncle said people use to escape from this jail all the time and there was actually a public town hanging once.
Here is another little one house jail
Under a blue bell cow!
We stayed over at my uncles house for a couple hours with my mom and then headed home. I guess all the fun action wore this little girl out, lol
Friday my mom came over for the night to watch the girls for us while we had our June date night.
This date night was a stay-cation here in Salado. It ended up being lots of fun! We stayed at the Rose Mansion Bed and Breakfast in the Chester house.
We first headed out to the creek wine seller and then we headed to the Salado Wine seller for a couple glasses of our hometown, homemade wine. A little Dill Dallie Blush wine. Then we headed to The Shed for a beer and burgers. The Shed is a new restaurant in town and we were both impressed with the food and atmosphere! They have a killer Jalapeno burger.
Hehe I picked this little coaster up as a souvenir
My hot date for the night
We ended up going to the Legend Club here in town (which we have never been to) and meeting some friends up there. It was ALOT of fun. Both Justin and I agreed that we should have called it an early night and went back to the BB for rest but we NEVER go out together like that so once in a while cant hurt.
The next morning we had breakfast at the B&B and then headed back home. It ended up being a really fun time!
Saturday we took Jaina to the Salado volunteer fire department Family day. As you can see Skyler was there.
Such a sweet picture :)
Jaina and Skyler stayed together the entire time. They played the games together
Got cool prizes
They had sno cones, popcorn, candy and hot dogs for the kids
They had a band, a dunking booth and bounce houses
Mrs. Dee Dee from the daycare had a booth set up to paint
Isn't this picture A-Dor-Able!!!
Justin didn't think so :)
It was super hot out side so we spent the rest of the day swimming at Skyler's grandparents house here in town
Today we had a lazy Sunday. My mom watched the girls while I painted the hall way. Something I've been trying to get done for a while now. I plan on just painting the hallway white, hanging some framed photos and adding a little bench or something at the end of it.
This evening my sister came over and we all went to eat in Temple.
We hope everyone had a great weekend!

Beautiful Baby

Last week when Jolee and I had some alone time while Jaina was at VBS we decided to do an impromptu photo session.
I thought these turned out beautiful even though I couldn't capture her face because she was looking down at her beads the entire time.
I remember I use to take photos like these of Jaina all the time when she was a baby. I thought it was so hard taking pictures of her but turns out babies that can't walk are a breeze, lol. Now all I get from my 4 year old is eye rolling and complaining, lol
When I was younger I was so much into photography. I even studied some in college but lost interest along the way (as well as all my art skills) of becoming a wife and mother.  I ALWAYS had a camera in my hand growing up. I remember in high school I carried my camera every where and everyone would always make fun on me. Now its a way of life!
I still have my manual camera my dad bought me in college. I even had a camera once that made your pictures into stickers!
Jolee was loving this photo session, all girly here!
Beads and fur.....can't beat that!
The more Jolee gets bigger the more I see Justin, especially in those lips!
And in the facial expressions she makes.
Now this is a once in a lifetime photo opt!
Haha Dixi and Tiny totally photo bombing my session with a kiss!
Baby love :)

Tiny and Dixi were on both sides of us.
Jolee finally gave in and let Tiny play with the beads for a while

Baby curls!

Water Baby

Today Jaina started swim lessons!
She told me as we were getting out of the car "momma I think I'm kinda nervous". I said, "nervous! oh no you'll do just fine".
I've been meaning to sign her up every year since she was born and finally decided to sign her up this year. She's no stranger to the water, she loves it!
I signed her up for the level one 4-6 year old beginner class. They learn all the basics like doing a "bob", closing their eyes and mouth under water, floating and basic swimming moves.
She was a little timid in the water and screamed out and held onto the teacher a couple times, lol. Even the teacher told her not to hold on to her so tight, lol.
Poor baby.
Today they learned how to go down the ladder backwards, they learned to blow bubbles, they did a head bob a couple times, they learned how to monkey crawl on the wall, pick up a hoop under water and even went down the slide with their hands up in the air.
Justin was a work so him and two other guys drove up in the big fire truck to come watch her for a little bit. He honked his horn at the kids as they drove off. After it was over they got to play in the kiddie pool for a while then we had lunch at Chick fil A and then headed home.

Laid back weekend

We had a very laid back, lazy weekend. Friday we invited friends over but they ended up getting sick so we just played in the pool most of the day.
Jaina had her last day of VBS. I was sad it ended for her. I know she met lots of new friends and was having a blast.

Jaina has been all about wanting to be an angel lately. She said "look mom, don't I look like a little angel with this head band on". I said "of course, you always look like an angel to me".
Saturday we had another lazy day around the house. Jaina played in her pool and Justin and I got stuff done around the house.
We watched a movie and all went to bed early.
Haha I found one of Jaina's random drawings in one of my notebooks.
Today I tackled the garden. Its been bugging the heck out of me. The weeds were so thick, tall and over barring that none of the other plants would grow. Plus we have these ugly looking bugs that just sit on the squash and there are 100's at a time. I tried spreading dust on them but it didn't work. Something has also gotten into the squash plants, maybe a rollie pollie, snail, worm. Whatever it is it has eaten the root of all the squash. It happens every year. I told Justin that this happens every year so I'm marking squash off my list for next year.
I did clean out the weeds and grass. It loos alot better even though this garden has gotten on my last nerves this year.

I was happy to see that we do have 3 watermelons growing. I cant WAIT to try one!
Along with all these weeds and grass that have been taking over our box so has this annoying purple flower plant. They have thrones on them and I cut my hand in 3 different places today.
Here is a video of Jolee walking behind her lion. She hasn't taken any steps by herself but she's getting there!
