Minor Meltdown

Today after work my mom, Jaina and I headed into town for more material but this time for a project that I'm working on that I'm SUPER excited about.

I will definitely show you the finished product when I'm done.Jaina was really tired when we got home from the store and really needed to go down for night time but fought tooth and nail for some reason tonight.

She never does that but I just think she was overly tired from missing her afternoon nap.

She wanted a pop pop so bad tonight but I had to step in and say no. Not right before bedtime and she threw the biggest fit with the biggest fake tears you have ever seen.

It was just down right pathetic. But I had to stand my ground even though I wanted to give it to her.

I guess it's all part of being a parent.

What makes me happy on this Sunday

I must be doing something right, Justin surprised me AGAIN with red roses.

(They are a little droopy, Ive had them for a couple days now)

Friday my Mom came into town and we headed into Temple for dinner and a trip to the fabric store. A lady from my work is making Jaina her birthday outfit and we picked out some hot pink and hot green material.

I cant wait to see the finished product!

Saturday my sister Steph came over as well as my uncle for dinner.

My mom made her famous southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes and it was good!

Justin spent the day cleaning our car port from top to bottom. It definitely needed a deep cleaning.

And my uncle surprised Jaina with this super cute bean bag chair.

She LOVES it!

Today we skipped church to sleep in. I have been so tired lately from working so much and just couldn't bare to lift my head off the pillow thi morning.

Justin's Mom and Step-Dad came over tonight for dinner.
Jaina was really excited and surprised to see her Grandma when she woke up.

She got alot of attention from her two grandma's and grandpa tonight. She danced for them, sang "if your happy and you know it clap your hands" and read books to them.

We had a great weekend entertaining family and was glad everyone could come over and spend time with Jaina. She loved it and wore herself out!

Lesson for the day: NEVER drive in a cemetery backwards.....or you might just wreck your car!

Some days I just hate being an adult and hate having so much responsibility.
Some days I just wish I had some lame blow off job that was fun and didn't really care about.
Some days I just wish I was back in college and didn't have a care in the world
Some days i just wish I could go out to the bar and get plastered after a long hard day

I remember as a little girl my dad use to say to me "slow down and just enjoy being a kid". I wish I was still that kid sometimes! I haven't had a smile on my face for a Loooooong time and I'm in dire need of a change. And Again it has NOTHING to do with Justin and Jaina she is my world and he is my rock. I'm just in this stage of my life where I feel stuck. I know I need to make a change but Im just nervous about taking that step.

I WISH I could explain more but at this time I unfortunately can not.

Ive been doing alot at praying and pleading with God lately so hopefully just hopefully he will answer my prayers.

How exciting is this!

Today I ordered this CUTE bedroom set for Jaina and I-am-so-excited!

Her birthday is right around the corner and I wanted to do something special for her birthday. I think she is ready to have a "Big Girl" room. I looked and looked and saw this and its perfect! I will probably have a hard time letting go of her baby room but she is not a baby anymore and deserves to have a room she can have fun in. I showed her this picture in the magazine last night and she got SO excited and said "ohhhhhh" "I like it" "I like it"!

I'm going to have Justin make her a little white picket fence bed to go along with her room.

I'm going to be working on it the next couple of weeks painting and doing some touch up work and then a couple days before her birthday when shes at daycare we are going to put it all together and surprise her when she gets home. She is going to love it when she sees it!

Ah! I'm so excited for her!

And speaking of her birthday I picked out her cake too!

She is having a "Cupcake" theme this year with bright colors like hot pink, bright green and blue,ect. I am working on making a cake stand. On the bottom layer I will have regular size cupcakes in bright colors and then on the top of the cake stand I will have one big huge cupcake! (Yall probably think I'm crazy for planning so early but the secret is that if you plan early you save a TON of money)

I hope it turns out good!

It's A Miracle

Justin actually went to church with us yesterday!

He told me on Saturday he was going to attend with both Jaina and I and I about fell out of my chair.
I starting attending back in February and asked him on several occasions to go with us but he has never come with me. I have been secretly praying at night asking God to help get Justin to come to church with me and out of the blue he comes with me!
That just reminds me of what the power of prayer can actually do :)
We had a great service and had communion and I'm hoping and (praying) that we will start attending regularly with me.
After church we spent the rest of our day, napping, cleaning and just hanging out. Jaina spent most of her day coloring with her new markers and crayons.
I think this just might be her new hobby.
Other then that we've made some home improvements to our living room. Here is the new shelf I bought for our living room that I had posted about. I have no idea what I'm going to put on it. I bought some frames the other day but that is all I can think of to put on it. (Decorating really freaks me out and I seriously get nausea even thinking about it, Lol) Decorating this tiny shelf is a BIG task in my book!I've also been working really hard on this cairo cabinet (or I should say Justin has). The cabinet was given to me by my Maw Maw before she died. The henge's were in bad shape and my magnets came off and I tried buying some new ones to put on but it just wasn't working so I had Justin fix it for me and he did such a good job on it. I decided to put some REAL china in it that my parents gave to us for our wedding. I think it looks pretty good .My garden is no more :( It has been so hot outside that everything in the garden is completely gone and if it does make veggies they are sun burned. I pulled one tomato plant already and will be pulling the rest this weekend. I will probably til it and let it sit awhile until it gets cooler and then plant a fall and winter garden. And here is our water rack fixed up with our hose on it.

Jaina got to meet her first celebrity today!

Sponge bob!

Or in her words "Bob" "Bob"She was SO excited!

And she absolutely LOVES watching "Bob" "Bob". My friend Rosie told me that Sponge Bob was coming to the mall this weekend. We had plans on meeting up with a good friend of mine in Austin but it fell through so we headed up to the mall to check it out.

It was packed!

And it's Tax Free weekend on top of it.

I guess they did that to lure parents to the mall so they would spend money on clothes after meeting sponge Bob. HahaThe line was out of control just to take your picture with him!

And I wasn't about to stand in a 3 hour line, so I just took Jaina up to the front where it was roped off.

I didn't even think she would realize who it was but when she saw him and I said Sponge Bob she got the biggest smile on her face and was SO excited!

I let her see him and wave to him awhile and then took a picture of her up by the roped off area.

( I'm thinking next year for her birthday we should do a Sponge Bob theme and Justin should come to her birthday dressed up like Sponge bob) hehehehehe

After the mall we spent the rest of the day Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping.

but it was mostly just running errands and picking up things we needed. Our last stop was Wal-Mart and as you can see she just couldn't take it anymore! HaHaHaHa!

Hot Hot Hot

I don't know about you guys but it is HOT outside. I mean HOT! Here in central Texas we have been hitting in the 100's all week. I cant even go side walk shopping because the pavement is so hot! Its even more miserable getting a 1 year old in and out of the car and when she says "momma its hot" momma its hot", you know its hot.

I don't know about yall but I am READY for fall. I LOVE everything about fall, birthdays, the weather, the crisp air and the smell, Halloween, scary spooky stories, Halloween, Halloween costumes, Pumpkins and everything else there is to love about the fall. Its my favorite season!

Last weekend I think we only left the house once and that was at night to go grab a bite to eat.

This weekend I'm hoping to meet a good friend of mine for lunch and then maybe do some shopping but I'm not sure how that's gonna go with a 1 year old and it being Tax free weekend.

Do any of yall do Tax Free weekend shopping??

I try to avoid it but we shall see!

My sick baby

Yesterday Jaina was still continuing to have massive diarrhea. I think I counted 8-9 times total in one day and she had at least 4 baths. Now that's not normal?
We called our doctor again and she said as long as she has no other signs of being sick there in nothing they can do which sounds crazy to me.

She has been acting her same usual self so I'm not sure what is going on.

Justin and I had plans on having a one night get-away in Fredrickburg but that obviously did not happen so we just hung out around the house in case Jaina had any accidents. We spent most of our day cleaning and being super lazy.

I was excited though because I had ordered a self for our living room and it came in yesterday.

We have had an all child living room since she was born with toys everywhere and any breakables packed away.

Now since she knows right from wrong I have decided to get back into having a normal living room and decorating it.

I ordered this self from a magazine because I thought it was really cute and matched the stuff we have.

Well......

I'm very disappointed in it. It looks like it belongs in a child's bedroom! Its tiny! uhhhhhh that's what I get for ordering something without seeing it in person first.

But Jaina enjoyed playing in it! LoLAfter being cooped up in the house all day we decided to have dinner at Texas Road House. Then when we came home Daddy serenaded us with his guitar. Jaina really enjoyed it.Today Jaina woke up not feeling good again. She didn't want to eat or drink anything and was pointing to her tummy saying "it hurts" :(

She had 5 bad diapers before 12 and wasn't making any wet diapers which was really concerning me so I called the afters hours clinic to see if I needed to bring her in and they told me if she doesn't make a wet diaper within 12 hours to bring her in but luckily she did.

Other then that we have had to put up a baby gate. Only because several times last week we found Jaina in the living room asleep and all over the place from getting up in the middle of the night. Now that she is sleeping in her toddler bed she rolls off her bed and finds other places to sleep. I am just afraid she may hurt herself and we wouldn't know it so now we have to use the gate at night.And tonight we made cookies for daddy and Jaina was my big helper.

The Dentist & The Doctor

Yesterday I had to leave work early for an appointment with the dentist. I had a root canal done with I was in high school and last week it started bothering me.

To be brutally honest I haven't been to the dentist since I graduated high school which is awful and embarrassing.

I HATE going to the dentist but it had to be done plus we pay insurance every month on it and it covers 2 free cleanings a year so why not!

So I go in and tell the dentist whats going on and he said that it just needed to be flushed out but it was no big deal.

I also asked about my brace Ive had in since I was 15 from having braces on and he said that I needed to keep it on as long as possible.

Then we talked about bringing Jaina in. He said that I need to bring her in after her second birthday.

We need to practice brushing every night and using just plain water is fine.

He also told me that we needed to get rid of her pacifiers ASAP because it ruins their palate!

YIKES!!

I am totally NOT ready for that! LoL

After the dentist I had plans on doing a little kidless shopping but got a call from the daycare saying that I needed to come pick her up that she was having explosive diarrhea and that she may have rota virus!

I rushed to the daycare picked her up and took her straight over to the after hours clinic.

I explained to the doctor that shes been having extreme diarrhea for the last couples days and the doctor says "oh its normal, no she doesn't have rota virus and this can last up to 10 days"!

What! 10 days!

This isn't normal, not even an adult can have diarrhea for 10 days.

Very frustrated we left and headed home and was in bed by 8:30.

I did it!

Yey! I finally learned how to upload my videos to Utube. I tried using the video icon on the blog post but it never seemed to work. So now I can share all of Jaina's hilarious moments with you guys. Here she is the other night playing make-up with her yogurt! My niece thought it was so funny! Enjoy!

Another Mommy Moment

As we all know motherhood can be very challenging but tonight was one of those moments were you just want to give up!

But I kept telling myself to keep moving.

Since my mom and niece are leaving in the moring we all went out to eat tonight.

We were sitting at dinner, everything was going good until I felt something wet all down the back of my pants.

Yes, Jaina had peed on me!

Apparently pull-ups are not made the same as diapers.

We headed to Wal-Mart for a few things we needed to get.

My mom was with Jaina and I was getting what I needed when I get a call from her saying Jaina laid a big bomb in her pants.

Ok, so no big deal, right.

WRONG!

I get her out to the car and she is literally covered in poop.

So apparently pull-ups don't hold poop that good either!
She had it ALL over her.

I had to strip her down naked in the parking lot to get it all off.

She had it all over her back, neck and even arms.

I have no idea how she got it all over her.

I felt so sorry for her.

So as soon as we got home i put her straight into the bath.

Then after her bath she wanted some yogurt (her new favorite thing).

I tell my niece to watch her for a bit so I could put up jaina's new baby gate.

frustrated that I couldn't get this baby gate to work I hear "OMG Jaina!

And then my mom say "Come in here you have to take a picture of this"

She had given herself a yogurt facial and was pretending it was make-up!

She had it in her hair, all on her arms and legs.

I was so frustrated I couldn't even cry!

And on top of that as Jaina was giving herself a yogurt bath the dog peed on my floor!

Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY IS MOTHERHOOD SO HARD SOMETIMES!!!!!!!!

This weekend

So what has Jaina been up to this weekend you might ask.

Well she play with her new pony on a stick.
She was suppose to be riding it but instead I think she just antagonized the dog with it.
She threw a couple of these.

She talked on the phone

She actually played with her baby doll for awhile

Momma filled up her turtle as a pool since her other one has a hole in it.

She really enjoyed that

Then her cousin Rhiannon came over and played in the pool with her

And we all went on a wagon ride around the neighborhood
