Santa's coming to town

This was what my kitchen looked like at 10:00 last night.
LOL
What a mess!
Sunday we went and got our Christmas tree. It's a big 7 foot Douglas Fir.
I like a fake tree and Justin likes a real one.
Last year I put up my fake tree so this year we decided to go with a real one.
Justin set the tree up and then got down my boxes of Christmas decorations.
Jaina helped by pulling everything out of the boxes, lol.
We spent most of the day decorating the tree and living room.
And so far so good!
I will show pictures of our tree and decorations later when I'm done.
I also in the mist of decorating made homemade pizza! It turned out pretty good.
I used my bread maker to make the dough then put home grown bell peppers from our garden on it and then popped it in the oven.
I was surprised that it turned out because the last couple of times I made homemade pizza it was just down right pitiful, lol.
And a little secret my mom told me, she said pans with holes in them wont burn your pizza.Pans without the holes traps the heat under them and will burn the pizza. Thats why I used to always burn all my pizza's and this one didn't burn at all.
Duh!
And as I told you yesterday we had Jaina's picture taken with Santa when we were in Wichita and here it is.
She was really excited to see Santa though you can't tell in this photo.
We had gone to the mall earlier in the week and he came up to her and hugged her and gave her a high five and that's all I heard for the rest of the week so I promised her I would take her back to see him.
She loved it and I'm glad Justin and I were there to share it with her.

Thanksgiving Week

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I hope yalls were as fun as ours was. We had a week filled with fun.
I took a break from blogging because I new I would be way to busy to post anything.
And we were!
Our week started last Saturday when we drove up to Irving. Dorothy, Justin's grandma has been here the last six weeks taking care of Jaina. We hated to see her go because we all got a little spoiled while she was here.
Anytime grandparents come to stay with us, we tend to let them do all the cooking, cleaning and taking care of Jaina for us.
Now we're back to reality!
We stayed in Irving at Dorothy's sister Shirley's house.
I'm a big fan of Shirley's I like her alot! And so does Jaina!
We stayed the night and had a good time talking and eating And Jaina had a good time playing with Shirley's grandson Chris.
They became real good buddies :)
Here she is in front of Shirley's house by her "pum-kin" We walked across the street to Mrs. Sassy's house. Jaina found her some wooden animals and just HAD to have them. She held on to those animals all the way the to Wichita Falls, even when she was asleep she still wouldn't let go of them! LOL
After saying by to Great-grandma we headed to Wichita Falls, to stay with Pops & Granny Pat.
They sure were glad to see Jaina.
Monday we got up and headed over for lunch to the Casa Manana. And mmmm it was good!
Kimbra had bought this little outfit for her birthday and I wanted to get a good picture of her in it and look what I caught her doing, lol.
I told her to turn around so I could take a picture of her cute little pockets but I didn't think she would give me a sassy little pose like this, Ha!
She had to try out her bubble blower.
She's been lovin it!
We had a fun week hanging out with the grandparents (and Daisy)
Tuesday we got to visit with Brook, James and Blake.
It was so good to see Brook and her tiny little belly.
Last time she was pregnant I was trailing right behind her by six weeks but this time she's on her own, LOL.....sorry. I'll catch ya next time, hehe
Jaina and Blake played so well together until there was a little fight over a Mickey mouse toy, then they weren't too happy.
But then I told them to put there arms around each other and hug.
But instead they did this.
I think they were a little confused, haha
But they thought it was hilarious.
Wednesday Justin took me and Jaina to Pioneer for the first time and we got there famous enchiladas and they were good! Then we had some time to kill so we took Jaina to the park.
She enjoyed swinging with her daddy.
Sliding down the tunnels
And playing with rocks Then it was Turkey day!
We were both excited!
Great Aunt Neva came to celebrate with us.
Shes such a sweet lady.
Aunt Susan, Uncle Larry, Brady, Courtney and Chad all came to celebrate too.
We had a feast to fit a king!
And the desserts were out of this world!
Her little dress was hand made by me!
Friday we slept in and by passed Black Friday.
Why would anyone shop so early in the morning??
Not me! I need my sleep.
But we did take Jaina up to the mall in Wichita to get her picture taken with Santa.
We didn't have much going on so we thought it would be the perfect time to go.
She was super excited and didn't cry at all.
Hanging out with Granny Pat before we left
And giving Pops some love
Then we headed over to The Oliver's so Jaina could see there horses!
She was really excited about thatShe got to pet them And watch them eat
Then she got to ride them!
She was not scared at all and rode them like a champ.
I think I was more scared then she was.
Those are some big horses
She had so much fun and didn't want to get off either when it was time to go
Then daddy finally gave in and said he would have to buy his little girl a horse now
We visited for a while and met Brittney's new boyfriend before we went back to Wichita for the night
Saturday we left fairly early in the morning and got home in the afternoon.
It felt good to finally be back at home in our own bed.
Now its back to getting into the swing of things again.

Visit with the Olivers

First and for most Congratulations to my husband Justin for passing his driver test at work.
He's been studying since early October and it paid off.
Way to go!
Yesterday the Oliver's came down the see Jaina.
Its their anniversary and are on their way to San Antonio and came by to bring Jaina some presents.
She was acting a little shy at first as you can see, lol
But then warmed up after she realized they had presents for her, lol
They missed her birthday and wont be here for Christmas so she got double the presents!
A sweet baby, bubble blower, new pillow and cute outfit.
She loved it all and cant put down the bubble blower.
She says thanks!
Then we had dinner a Johnny's Steak house.
Jaina loved sitting by Kimbra because she had lip stick, jewelery and horses to look at.
After dinner they headed out down the road.
It was so good to see them.
Happy Anniversary!
Ps. We'll been MIA this week in blogging, Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Randomness Talking

Yesterday was a very productive day for me to say the least.
I registered for school a couple of weeks ago and yesterday I needed to switch some of my classes around so the advisor at Temple College asks what university I plan on attending, I told her the A&M branch in Killeen.
We have a ton of private University's around here like the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, Baylor University, Southwestern Methodist University which I would love to go to but the cost is outargues so I will be a Texas A&M University Central Texas graduate!
I head up stairs to see the advisor for A&M to talk to her about my Education degree I plan on pursuing. I explain to her that I already have two college degrees and plan on getting a third.
(You'd think I would have had it figured out by now, LOL)
So we start looking over the plan and it wasnt looking so good, I would have to go 3 1/2 years. uggg not good.
So she suggest putting the classes Ive already taken in a normal degree and then pursue a teaching certificate after I graduate.
Ok, sounds great to me so she plugs in my classes and I have a choice of two options, get a History degree and finish in 2 years or get a Science degree and finish in 1 year! Then all I would have to do is take a 6 week course for a teaching certificate after I graduate.
Not Bad
And sooooo much better then 3 1/2 years!
And I kinda like the idea of being a History teacher.
Never in a million years would I have thought about that but I like it!
I will re-register for classes when we get back from Wichita and began classes in the spring and I cant wait!
Next week my little Dixi will become an Old Maid. She will be getting spayed on Tuesday and rest at the vet until we get home.
I believe its time because every time I take Jaina for a wagon ride down the street every dog on our street is barking like crazy at Dixi.
I'm not sure if its because they can smell she's in heat or if its because she's wild and terrorizes all of them. LOL
And you might have noticed a tracker down at them bottom of my blog.
Well I was just curious to see if more then just the grandparents read my blog.
No I cant tell who you are but I can see what town pops up. Its pretty cool to see other people are actually interested in our boring lives. Ha!
But its ok because I like reading other peoples blogs that I don't know either like Kelly's Korner and There's no place like home. You can find them both on the left hand side of my blog list.
Kelly's Korner is neat to read because shes a mom just like all the rest of us of a 2 year old and There's no place like home, she has an incredible eye for art and i LOVE looking at pictures from her home so yall may want to check those out too.

Paci Free

We are officially off the pacifier!
When I was pregnant with Jaina I swore to myself that I would never let her use a pacifier but after she was born I had emergency surgery due to complications. I didn't get to meet her until after surgery and the nurse had already given her a pacifier.
I was a little disappointed...... but still wanted to try her without one until I realized what a screaming crying baby really was!
LOL
And in went the pacifier!
She grew pretty fond of it especially at night time but wasn't addicted to it. She could go pretty much all day without it until she saw it or was getting tired.
Since grandma has been down we have decided to try her without.
And it has worked out great!
She use to always go to bed with one in her month and two in her hands so I was alittle nervous she would be up all night screaming for it.
The first night she slept with Dorothy, when they went to bed she cried for her puggy alittle while until grandma told her she had lost it.
The story seemed to work so we just stuck to it.
The second night she slept in bed with me since Justin was gone at work. She fell asleep great but cried a couple times during the night for it but by the third night she was completely paci free. She doesn't even ask for it and if she does we just tell her that she lost it and it went gone gone.
Ha! That's SO mean but it works!
Now her thing is, she has to take about a million books with her to bed and read them to grandma.
LOL
But hey its better then a pacifier!
