Candy, pizza and the park

Today my uncle called to see if we wanted to go eat pizza with him and then take the girls to the Sugar Shack candy store.
Of course they were more then excited! Can't you tell :)
After pizza and candy we headed to Pace Park
The girls were excited and had fun running around the park
Jolee has no fear at this age. She is a dare devil and loves to go down the slide
As you can see she tattooed her legs and body all up today. Maybe she will be a tattoo artist when she grows up, Ha!
This one on the other hand likes to stay on solid ground and doesn't like doing things outside her comfort zone. She's at the age now that if she doesn't want to do something (like go down the big slide) she just isn't gonna do it. But she will one day
Then we walked down to the creek. We didn't come to the creek to much this summer. Now that we have a swing set in the back yard the girls are content just staying home and playing.
The creek was low but the girls still had a blast throwing rocks in
After the park my uncle wanted to sugar the girls up some more so we got them some ice cream. They shared a strawberry sundae
They were wired up when we got home! They are a mess!

There is no need to rush

I am loving this stage in all our lives right now. I love being a mom to my two girls, I love being able to get out of the house and work a little and help people, I love coming home and being a little more organized. I love Jolee's age right now, all the things she's says and does are just so comical. I love that she gets to make a few friends at school and start learning new things. And I love that Jaina is becoming her own little person and is doing her own little things at school with all her friends and getting bigger by the day. But I want time to slooooow down! I came across this poem tonight that puts it all into perspective. Its to sweet not to share :)
Jolee is so funny, when she starts doing something she's not suppose to be doing she will start saying "I not, I not mommy", "I not", LOL and usually she's digging in my purse or in a drawer that she's not suppose to be in. She probably says that because I always tell her " You better not be doing that".
And this little girl started a 3 day cheer camp at school today. They will be practicing a cheer for Friday nights game. They will cheer at the beginning of the game and at half time. I can't wait to see it! She had to perform a little of it for me tonight.
Lol this is what Dixi does when she rides in the car with us to go pick up sissy in the afternoons. Ears flappin in the wind.

Blowing your beets

Not much going on here the last couple of days except Jolee blowing her beets last night. I'm not sure what happened because she was acting fine, no fever and no other symptoms besides her being tired. I got Jolee in her crib first and was getting Jaina ready for bed and when I went back in to check on Jolee she had thrown up everywhere. Not fun! and the weird part was she was smiling afterwards like it was funny. She does have this habit of sticking her fist in her mouth and gagging herself so Im not sure if that's what made her sick. She is going to daycare once a week so maybe she picked up something from there. Who knows.
Today Justin watched the girls while I worked. He said she was completely fine today and he even brought them up to eat lunch with me on my break.
I'm not sure how working part time is gonna work. Its a bit of a challenge trying to juggle kids, trying to work a little and then turning around and spending all your part time money on daycare. I'm loving my job so far though. I guess it will all work out the way its suppose to.
The girls brighten my day by coming and seeing me and having lunch with me. I love them to pieces even when I am gone just a couple hours a day.

our week

Driving Miss Daisy is ready to go with her matching shoes and all, lol
Jaina gets homework sent home every Wednesday is has to return it back by Friday. Its pretty simply. She seems to catch on quick and gets it done fast. She has one math page, two reading books and one writing assignment to do
Today after Jaina got out of school we rode with Justin to Georgetown so he could pick something up. It was probably a mistake that we went with him because by the time we sat down to eat dinner at the restaurant both girls were tired, whiney and ready to go to bed. Next time we will know! If we go past our 7:30 bed time the girls get cranky quick!
Her are some things Jaina is doing in school this week

They did this one for September 11

And Jolee was at daycare today and brought home her first craft and drawing :) So sweet

The guilt of a mother

Mothers walk around with a lot of guilt, 90% of it brought on by themselves for over analyzing the situation. I remember when Jolee was first born I had tremendous guilt because I was with Jolee all the time because she was a new born which took away a lot of my time with Jaina. Both my neighbor and I were just talking about this subject the other day because we both had babies around the same time, we both have older children and both had the same guilty feelings. I guess if we didn't have these feelings then we wouldn't be good moms.
Now that Jolee is older and Jaina is off to school and I have extra one on one time with her I feel like we should be doing projects and going fun places everyday like I did with Jaina. I feel tremendous guilt because I haven't been doing all these things with Jolee as I did with Jaina. I remember I always planned for us to go somewhere all the time, whether it was to the park, playing at the creek or going to the zoo. Jaina also loves doing projects, painting, drawing, and other fun stuff.
Jolee on the other hand is a totally different kid, she's very content just staying home, watching cartoons and entertaining herself. She's not much on projects, I will sit her down to paint and she's done in 5 minutes. She would rather play outside or just wants to sit on the couch and cuddle. I will be honest I feel guilty because I don't do as much with her as I did with Jaina. We cuddle a lot and play around but we just don't go as many places as I did with Jaina. She's just a different kid and if she's content then I'm content. Maybe its just her age, she still takes a nap and our mornings are pretty routine, by the time she wakes from a nap, sissy is almost home. I'm not sure if the saying "the more children you have the less things you with them" is true but I cant beat myself up about it because one child got more then the other child. My love is still the same for both of them and that's all that counts especially at such a young age. She just wants to be loved and will never remember going all those places anyways.
I did take her to the park in town today for the first time and she loved it! She got SO excited when we pulled up in the parking lot. She was fussy and crying all day so it was a nice break from being cooped up in the house
I use to bring Jaina to this park all the time when she was Jolee's age but never bring them here anymore because we have a swing set of our own now.

Hopefully the weather stays nice enough so we can enjoy more days at the park together

Lunch with Sissy

Haha Jaina has a leash on Jolee.
They were playing around with it and Jaina hooked it on Jolee's pants and Jolee was acting like a dog and cat. Jolee loved it! LOL
Sometimes I wished I could really use a leash on her when we are at the mall! (Not in a cruel way!) She will NOT hold my hand and insists on walking and will stay with me for a minute or two and then runs full speed where ever she pleases. I've taken her to the mall a time or two and its not fun without a stroller.
Or for instant this back drive way. If I don't keep a good eye on her she will go full speed down the drive way and on the rode. Im surprised Im not rail thin with all the chasing around I have to do with her. She is definitely her own child!
Every morning since school started I will walk outside with Jaina and wait with her until the bus arrives with Dixi and Tiny trailing behind! They both come chasing after us and walk over to the other side of the street with Jaina until it arrives and then me, the dog and cat all go back inside after she leaves.
Today I decided to surprise Jaina at school and bring her lunch. She was SO excited when she saw me and Jolee. She said "mom, ive been waiting on you to come and have lunch with me". We got to sit in a special area marked just for visitors at lunch.
Cant you tell sister was a little excited, lol
When we had to go Jolee cried her little heart out and kept saying "sissy, sissssssy,"
This is how we spend most of our afternoons after Jaina gets off the bus. Playing, fighting and playing some more.
These are sweet days that I will cherish with my girls forever

A fly by weekend

Now that I'm working part time I feel like our weeks are flying by! We are staying busy with lots of activities and things to do. Thursday I took Jaina to Girl Scouts. She got to make a peanut butter bird feeder. We hung it out side for the birds to eat.
Thursday evening my parents came down. I originally asked my parents to come down because Rosie and I had a retreat to go on but since I work now on the weekends I was not able to go with her but my parents were still able to come down to take care of the girls while Justin and I worked. Saturday evening we all went out to eat and then this morning my parents left. We are getting ready for another busy week. Hopefully we will accomplish a lot because I have a ton of things to do on my to do list!

2014 School Pics

Jaina had her school picture taken the second week of school and they turned out SO good. I took a picture of the picture so its a little blurry but you get the idea of what they look like. I LOVE them. She looks so grown up here! ( Don't worry grandparents I will be sending all of you a copy this week)
Its really neat how you order the school pics now. Its all online, you can go in and pick your own sizes and packages, they have different color back grounds to choose from and it even comes with different poses! Totally different from when I was a kid!
Here is my Kinder pic and I think this is Justin's kinder pic too (not totally sure) What do you think? Who do you think she looks like?
My baby is growing up too fast!

Jolee's first day of Daycare

Thursday Jolee had her very first day of daycare!!
Here she is ready to go!
Since I work part time Jolee will go to daycare on the days Justin has to work. She will go to the same play school Jaina went to. I was a little nervous about dropping her off because she screams bloody murder everytime I drop her off at the church nursery. Justin decided to take her to school to make it easier for me to get to work on time.
He said she did awesome! Except during nap time when she was asking for her momma :( It makes me a little sad but Im only working about 25 hours a week so its good for her to be around other kids. He picked her up from school too and when I got home I asked her if she had fun at play school and she said yeah!
They take a little back pack of diapers, wipes, a blanket and sippy cup. Here she is showing off her Dr. Seuss back pack
And showing off her lunch box. I pack her a little lunch everyday regardless where we will be at during lunch. She LOVES it! and gets so excited to eat her lunch. They serve breakfast and snack and she also takes a nap and learns.
Next year she can start public school! Pre-k3 is offered in our school district for any child who turns 3 before the school year starts. That's crazy to me cause she's so tiny :(
They grow up way to fast! Soon I'll turn my head and she will all be grown up ready for college :( I am embracing every moment  and loving it all
