So who doesn't LOVE getting packages in the mail! I know I do! Last week I called and asked if Justin's step-mom Cathy could send me a bow to go with Jaina's birthday dress. We are going to the park and this time I'M going to be taking pictures of my baby with MY professional camera so we will see if it works. I needed a certain bow and thought I would ask her because there are NO bow places that I know of around were we live. Plus I've been in that bow store in Wichita Falls and it is FANTASTIC!! They have everything you could imagine and they also custom make bows to match outfits as well! So I anxiously awaited my delivery and yesterday it arrived, not one bow but a whole box of bows and bands! I was SUPER excited!! Thanks Cathy, your the best!!

And Jaina was excited too!

Here is the bow I needed for Jaina's dress and it matched perfectly to her birthday dress!

So of course we had to try one out right away

But see the remote, I had to give that to her to distract her because other wise, this will happen

She will rip that bow off in 2 seconds flat!

And look was else I got in the mail, a free can of baby food and who doesn't need a free can of baby food these days!

Last Jaina finished her first jar of stage 3 food and gobbled it up as fast as she could!

When I went in to check on Jaina after putting her down for her nightly bed time, look what I found. Ha! Her sweet little foot hanging out of the side railings.

You can say Momma, Dadda really well.

Wednesday Justin and I planned on just having a catch up day around the house while Jaina and my mom played together. Justin was working in the back bedroom trying to put our head board on the railing of our bed while I was outside planting our winter garden. I came in to take a brake and was sitting on the couch with my mom when all of a sudden Justin comes out groaning saying my finger, my finger! I looked over and there was blood squirting out everywhere and blood all over the floor. I jumped up and said get in the car we are going to the emergency room right now! Going 100 miles an hour Justin said just stop at the clinic next to our house. I said they can't do that kind of stuff here. He said just stop here! So I pulled in, ran up to the counter and asked the lady if they could sew fingers back together. That lady looked at me like I was crazy! They took him back, put his hand in some kind of solution and we waited for the doctor. Finally the doctor came in and said, what did you do, Justin said he had the drill bit and was trying to drill the head board into the railing and it fell and drilled right through his thumb! The doctor looked over at me and said, "oh this must have been a honey to do list". They x-rayed it and it was okay except there was a little tiny piece of metal stuck in there but the doctor said he couldn't get it out. He wrapped it up and gave him some pain pills and we headed back home.
Justin was showing her how to get on it and ride it. If she pushes the lion's nose it lights up and plays music!
Isn't this the cutest thing ever!
Here's a close up of the material and buttons. Figuring out how far apart to place the buttons was the hardest part.
We probably could have just bought a new one with the money we spent on this one but I think it makes it way more personal. We love it.

We went into their gift shop to browse around before the game started.
Did you know that the Express team is owned by Nolan Ryan. I grew up in Alvin and went to the same high school as Nolan and my sister's went to school with his daughter. We also went to the same church as him. I sat by him during a Easter service one year. I had a very good friend who lived right down the road from his house. I had to take Justin by it to see it one time when he came to see me.
Here is the mascot
We were sitting up high in the stands but Justin found one of his Fire buddy's so we got to sit in the second row and see the game up close and personal.
Minor league games are always fun because they play goofy songs and sounds on their loud speakers. They like to interact with the crowd by playing games like the dizzy izzy and throwing out t-shirts.
As we were leaving I wanted to take one last picture by the sign out front.
