This Girl

Wednesday night at The Mix (church) was parents night. Jolee wanted me to stay in her classroom with her and watch her play and learn her Bible verse.
Today I got to hang out with this girl all day. I didn't want to send her to daycare so instead she got to spend the day running errands with me. She was a champ! I didn't hear her complain once.
We've had our first few days of chilly morning weather. Isn't Jolee cute in this little Indian outfit :)
We had a ton of errands to run. I usually run all my errands on my first two days off while the girls are in school. Then we either have a laid back weekend at home or we go somewhere.
Jolee loves playing the Buddy Buck machine at HEB. She says it's her favorite.
And here she is reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. I didn't even know she knew it until she came busting out of Jaina's room saying it. I guess she learned it at daycare.
Way to go Jolee!

Kids spell the darndest things

Kids say or spell the darndest things, lol
Justin and I love looking at pictures online of kids drawing inappropriate things or spelling words wrong. When I pulled out her spelling test from this week I noticed she said had wrote 'skank" instead of skunk. Ha! I died!! When I showed Justin he died laughing too. Not that we are making fun of her because we would never do that but because she spelled skank by accident.
Ha! Priceless!
My mom taught first grade for over 30 years and she has plenty of stories like these.
And here's Jolee being Jolee :)
Have a great week everyone!

This Weekend

This weekend I had to work and so did Justin. We had Taylor set up to babysit but she canceled on me at the last minute so off to work they went with me. They did great the almost the whole day! I even had to meet with a family and they never made a peep. I had movies, toys and donuts to keep them busy. They got a little restless towards the end of the day but I can't blame them, I do too after sitting for 8 hours.
I bribed them with Chick Fil A
And then I told them I would take them to Target on our lunch break and would buy them a Little Woodzeez. They were soooo excited! Hey doesn't hurt to bribe sometimes, plus I got out cheaper buying for the toys then the babysitter!
A little boy named Wyatt that lives on our street is making these necklaces all by himself for a charity donation for Haiti. He said 100% of the proceeds go to the church to buy supplies for Haiti. So I had him make one for Jaina
He came by today and dropped it off for her
Too cute!
Last week Jaina's class took a field trip to our local fire station. After their trip they were sent home with poster boards. They are suppose to draw something about fire prevention. I think she did an awesome job!
And here is a couple things she has been doing in last week

And a portrait of herself :)
Jolee is also coming home with work she has done in class too.
She took her finger prints
Made her hand print
Stays in the lines
And is also learning about fire prevention

A Pumpkin party and allergies

Whelp it's that time of year again. Fall! My most favorite and most hated season of them all. I LOVE fall it is truly my favorite BUT living in Central Texas I suffer every year starting in September through February with cedar fever. I went to the allergist this most and I am highly allergic to rag weed, cedar, all trees and dust. Allergy season started in full force for me last week. My face is very swollen, everything on the outside and inside itch and I'm constantly congested. I told Justin this is soooo miserable that I don't even want to live in central Texas any longer. I'm miserable at work, at night and in the morning.
I can't take it any longer!
So I called the allergist and told them I wanted to start allergy injections. I received my first shot today! I was beyond excited!!!
So the shot is based off of my certain allergies. I will go once a week to the allergy clinic to get a shot for the first 6 months and then I will be in the "maintenance" period. Then I will get a shot once a month for the next 3-5 years.
It sounds like a long time but once your treatment is done you are basically clear from your specific allergies. Everyone who I have spoken to about the treatment say that it works and it is well worth it in the long run!
I hope so!!! Otherwise we are moving to the beach asap!
Wednesday Jaina went to Leah's after school. She got each kid a pumpkin to paint. Jaina said they had a pumpkin party!
Now that Jolee is in the "pre-K" program at daycare she is required to that a back pack and is sent a folder home every day, just like in school. She has been bringing home all sorts of drawings, crafts and they are practicing learning how to write their name.
 Yay Jolee!

The Blue Dress

The girls played alot of dress up this weekend. Jolee put this blue little dress of Jaina's on and it reminded me of when Jaina use to wear it
I went back on my blog and found this little picture of Jaina in the blue dress. She was so small and adorable. Made me want to cry going back and looking how little she was :(
Kimbra gave Jaina this outfit and now its been past down to Jolee for some more loving and wear and tear.
Jaina brought home her baton stick. This is officially her first very own baton stick. She was so excited and was showing me all her moves
Tonight I took the girls to The Mix at church. I had to go by the grocery store while they were in church and as I was coming back I took this little picture of our perfect, quaint little town. I love living here, the beauty and small town feel that it offers :)

Weekend Wrap Up

We didn't have that eventful of a weekend but we did keep busy while Justin was gone. Saturday Jaina helped me make homemade cinnamon rolls
Yum! There's nothing better then homemade anything, right!
Jaina loves to help me cook and bake
I made "Clone of a Cinnabon" with cream cheese icing. Here they are right out of the oven. You can google the recipe. I use the "allrecipe"
I also got this school organizer this weekend. Doesn't it make it look alot nicer. I love it!
Jolee and Jaina both played "wedding dress" this weekend and also decided to dress up Otis too. They thought it was hilarious
We took a little break Saturday and got out of the house for a little lunch. We sat in the scorching heat and ate our lunch
Then we did a little antique shopping at Belton Market Days. I had to explain to the girls what a "wall" phone was, lol
Then before heading home we stopped and got us a sno-cone
YUM!! They are soooooo good!

2nd Grade Lunch

Doesn't Jaina look adorable going to school this morning. She dresses herself and picks out every outfit, every morning. She even put that bow in her hair.
She's tooooooo cute for 2nd grade!
Today Jolee stayed home with me. We went and had lunch with sissy for the first time this year. As you can see Jolee was acting a fool while we waited for sister to come out of her classroom. I forsee many trips to the principal's office if she keeps this up, lol. All to get a laugh out of me, lol.
 Little stinker.
Jaina was super happy to see us. I usually will stop at Sonic and get them kids meals but today I changed it up and brought sack lunches. They both enjoyed it.
Jolee said "take a picture of me". She was super excited to be eating with her sister. She loves it. She loves looking around at all the kids.
My sweet Jaina :)
Sweet sister's
Next year I will be eating lunch with both girls :)

Pizza and the Park

This evening after the girls got out of school we met my uncle at the Pizza Place
The girls were being silly as we waited for Uncle Allie to get there
Sweet sister hugs
After pizza the girls begged me to take them to the park
and for Allie to come and chase them around
We didn't stay too long since it is a school night
But they had a fun time
