22 Months

Jolee you are 22 months (well almost 23) let's see what you have been up to!
You are a little turd these days!
Your new favorite word is "stop it". You love to say stop it, you even like to say "No momma, stop it", which I can't help but laugh when you say it.
You are talking like crazy, saying sentences and repeating everything.
You are are very possessive and do NOT like to share. For instance today you were eating some popcorn and I said "can I have a bit" and you said " No Momma". You do not like to share daddy either. If you see us hugging you like to come right between us and say "daddy hold me" or you say "my daddy". You also love to say "mine"! and you have a really hard time sharing with your sister. All day long that's all yall do is fight over toys.
You also LOVE to dress yourself. You like putting on shoes, socks, sissy's underwear, and layering clothes after clothes on yourself. Its not unsual to find you with 3 or 4 shirts on or 3 pair of shorts.
You also love wearing sissy's underwear. You put them on all the time and sometimes you will have 5 pairs wrapped on your body. Even today when I picked you up from daddy I didn't notice until we got in the store that you had a pair of sissy's underwear on over your dress. You also like to hide them under your dresses. This is a signal that you are ready to be potty trained. I talk to you daily about using the potty like a big girl. I will say "Jolee you wanna go pee pee in the potty like a big girl" and you will say "no momma". Hopefully it will connect in the next month or so.
You do not like getting your picture made. Most of the time you do this to the camera!
But you do LOVE baby dolls right now. You like to get out the big box of doll stuff and play with it, its your favorite at the moment.
You still nap in the mornings and are in bed by 7:30. You still wake up once a night so I usually go and get you to cuddle you the rest of the night. You are in 18-24 month clothes, size 5 shoe and size 3 diaper. You LOVE food and eat all the time. Your favorite food is anything!
You don't like to be scared and things with costumes or masks scare you. But you love cuddles and being close to the ones you love.
You have a wild personality, you are hot tempered and a crazy mess but we LOVE you with all our hearts. You are such a blessing to our little family. We love you baby girl :)

Overnight visit

My girl stylin some cute glasses
And my other precious baby sportin Richard Simmons hair, hehe
Yesterday we went out to my uncles house to stay the night. I love staying out at my granny's house every now and then. It's like a little vacation. And the girls love it.
They got to play in the sprinkler
and swim in their red neck pools, lol
Later we went into town to eat and then went over to the pond to feed the ducks
Jolee does not like for them to get to close to her,
 can't you tell

Then we headed to the park to play on the merry go round
and "sving" as Jolee calls it
Today we headed home and napped the rest of the day before we start the week

Lately

I decided to do one of my many pinterest projects I've been putting off and this happened to be one. We happened to have two pallets so I bought some paint and slapped it on there.
Cute huh?!
We have several facebook groups in my county that I live in that sells things of all kinds, furniture, animals, junk and good finds. Well I decided to post and sell this to see if anybody would want one and so far I've got 6 orders! Whoop whoop! Who doesn't love extra money! Especially being a stay at home mom!!

Ice cream on a rainy day

Yesterday it rained all morning but we managed to still make it up to the library for story time. They have story time every Monday morning. The librarian will read 2-3 stories to the kids then they have craft time afterwards. This summer story time will have different performances each Monday. The first performance was all about reptiles, they had real snakes, lizards and all kinds, last week there were animals from the Austin Zoo and yesterday there was a clown. It usually gets packed so I take Jolee to the play area. She just doesn't sit still long enough to enjoy a performance like that yet. Maybe in a couple more years.
Today Jolee finally got in for her 18 month appointment. She is a healthy baby! And she's gonna be a tall girl when she gets older. Taller then her sister and probably taller then Justin and I. She is in the 88 percentile for her height, meaning that if there were 100 girls lined up in a row she would be taller then 88 girls. I bet she will be around 5'8 or 5'9. She weights 28 1/2 pounds and measures 2ft 11in. She cried the whole entire appointment from start to finish. She does NOT like the doctor unlike her sister who loves to see the doctor and never had an issue when I took her.
She got 3 shots today which she screamed the entire time until we left the building. But the good news is that she will not have to get anymore shots until she is 4. Whew!
This afternoon my uncle came by. We took the girls to go get ice cream. When we were there it started pouring down raining, hard.
These girls love their ice cream and have a hard time sharing!
Little stinkers :)
And here is a little video of Jolee counting. We counted to 8 but the video turned off before we got there

Veal Animal Hospital

Jolee is not into wearing bows which kinda saddens me because I really wanted her to when I was pregnant with her. She did wear bows as a baby until she found out how to pull them off and then it was all over. I was going through her basket of bows and found these cute little hats I forgotten I had. So we had a little photo opt
She liked this idea all of about 5 seconds and then would rip each one off
But she sure is cute in all these hats and bows, to bad she won't wear them
Momma, hat time is over :(
Yesterday Jaina got a pretend play vet hospital. I saw the idea on pinterest and remembered my uncle had this cat carrier that would be perfect for this idea
I made a little folder with some printable animal skeletons I found online and some animal check sheets
Then I had to personalize it by putting her name on it
Then I filled it with stuff she already had like, band aids, arm cuff, medicine bottle, and so on
She loved it! She kinda knew I was up to something when I got the box from my uncles house. She said "Mom I knew this was for me"
It kept her entertained for awhile before she moved on the next thing. I plan on breaking up some of her bigger boxes of toys into smaller categorized boxes. All pretend play ideas. I think when I have stuff in the bigger boxes there's so much in them that she spends half her time just pulling out toys and scattering them around the room then actually playing with them. So I guess we will see how this method goes. But for now the first box was a success

Lake weekend

Yesterday our neighbor Olivia asked if we wanted to go out on the their boat with them this weekend.
Of course!
Who wouldn't turn down an offer like that
Yes we took all four kids with us. It was alot but they all enjoyed it.
Can you tell this girl was LOVIN it!
I wont lie I was a little nervous at first taking Jolee out on a boat for the first time but Olivia takes her son who is younger then Jolee out all the time and she says he does great. All the kids had on their life jackets too. Jolee didnt know what to think at first but started to relax after a while. I had a tight grip on this girl so no worries and Justin kept an on Jaina so it was all good
We went out on Lake Belton which is about 15 minutes from our house. Lake Belton actually has a real waterfall. Ive been on lake Belton lots of times before but never to the waterfall so that was the first place we went to. Olivia, Skyler, Jaina and I swam up to the waterfall then got out and climbed up to  it. I've never been under a waterfall before and always wanted to go so this was my one chance. I always thought being under a waterfall would be magical and romantic like it is in the movies......WRONG! It feels like a very abusive shower!!! Nothing like I ever imagined, now I know!
Then we swam in the lake for a bit
Then Justin did a little knee boarding :)
Jaina watching patently to make sure he doesn't fall off
And then I had to try it
I have been known back in the day to be a little dare devil. I always say I'll try something once. If it looks tempting I'll usually do it.
I did it 3 times, never got up on my knees but it was still fun...the whole 3 seconds I stayed on
Jolee making sure mommy didn't fall off
She warmed up to the boat after awhile and started having fun
Then we stopped at the sandy beach to hang out, fly kites and let the kids swim
The kids had a blast
Can you tell?
We all had a good time
Today we went out on Stillhouse Hollow Lake for round two
This lake is practically in our back yard so we didn't have far to go
Jolee was all for it today and really enjoyed herself
This lake isn't as big as Belton lake and doesn't have as many stops along the way so we just swam in the middle of the lake
But we did go to the "Cliffs" and once again I had to try it but I had a partner in crime with me this time, Skyler
We didn't stay out to long today, plus all the kids were tried, whining and crying so we headed home early
Now to bring on the new week
