Hanna Springs Pool

At the beginning of the summer Justin and I took the girls to Hanna Springs Pool in Lampasas. It's a big spring fed pool. The water runs into the pool on one side and drains out on the other side.  The water is very clean and clear.
Hehe, she got her googles on and is ready to go swimming
We got their after lunch and stay almost the entire day until it closed. It was so much fun.
There wasn't a whole lot of people there which made it nice. We found a spot on their fluffy green grass under the tree. Justin and I took turns taking Jewell into the water.
The water was freezing! 69 degrees in the summer. Now that's cold water! We took snacks and ate a picnic.
The pool is really pool. Lots of room to social distance
Haha! Look at that crack!
The girls had lots of fun. They would swim for a while get out freezing and sun bath to dry off and get warm
After we left the pool we went to Storm's for a burger and fries
We will definitely be coming back!

July Randoms

About a month or so ago Jewell caught a fever and was fussy. She was pulling on her ear so I took her to the doctor and they gave her some Amoxicillin. She's had several little ear infections in her little life time. I believe this was her 5th infection so she's taking Amoxicillin several times with no issues. After about 2 days of giving her the medication she broke out in a horrible rash. After jumping several hoops to get her an appointment with her doctor it turns out she is allergic to Penicillin. Who knew. We went home and I gave her some Benadryl and she's been all better ever since.
The girls visiting me at work running errands with their Daddy
Jewell loves her little rocker Allie got her for Christmas.
She likes to get on it and go to town, laughing and giggling the whole time. She's just the sweetest
My girl. She's getting so big and in just a few days she will turn 8!
Giddy up cowgirl!
This little picture was taken while the girls and I were swimming at Cindy and Dennis's house. We have made several trips to their pool to swim this summer. It's been fun!
Sisterly love, lol
Jewell is already feeling those vibes off Jolee, haha

Father's Day 2020

This year we had a low key Father's Day. We just haven't had any big celebrating this year for anything. I made dinner and then the girls gave Justin a few things they made for him.
Haha! I LOVE this picture. I said make a silly face and even Jewell is making a funny face. She fits in just perfect with our little nutty family.
Jolee is a mess. Mom came down a few weeks ago to go to her cousin's funeral. She wasn't down long but stayed a couple days. We went and had pizza one night. It was good! We love Salado Pizza
We were even able to fit in a quick date night. Justin took me to Pignetti's in downtown Temple. One of our go to spots if we have a date night. We even stopped by Cindy and Dennis house becoming heading home.
Jaina is a mess, lol
So is Jolee, lol
It's hot here in Texas yall. We come out in the evenings and let Jewell swim in her little pool and watch the girls jump on their trampoline
Last time we saw Diane when we were in Wichita she gave Jolee this book. Jolee sure has been enjoying it from time to time.

Wrapping up Girl Scouts

We ended Girl Scouts at the end of May. The last several months were virtual meetings. I'm not really sure were we will be this coming up year with Girl Scouts. I'm assuming we will probably have either virtual meetings again or if we meet in person we will be wearing masks.
All I know is it probably won't ever been the same :(
Here are a few pictures I found from the year that I hadn't posted before all this mess started
Here Jaina is working on her cooking badge
Learning how to make Jello
At the end of the year the girls usually have a Bridging ceremony, and a big badge party at the park with lots of food and yummy treats but of course that was cancelled this year. Instead we drove by the leaders house and they came out to the car and gave me the badges.
Here are Jaina's badges. She also got a Nasa badge as well
And these were Jolee's final badges

Kingsland, Texas

The next day we got up and packed all of our belongings up. Justin made breakfast on the grill outside. Burnt the cinnamon rolls again, lol. We have not mastered camp cooking yet.
Then we headed out for Kingsland.
But not before telling Romeo goodbye.
Jolee was so sad to have to say goodbye to Romeo
My momma heart felt so sorry for her
We let the girls pet the horses for a good while and then had to say their final goodbyes
Kingsland is about 2 hours from Bandera close to Marble Falls. We stopped in Fredericksburg to eat lunch at Mamacita's and then we walked main street. We went into the Christmas store first and I bought Jaina a Douglas dog and Jolee a Douglas pig.
Masks were required at all the stores and it was just too hot to wear a mask so we walked the street and then headed back to the car
Jolee wanted to ride the pony
Jewell loved it too
We finally got to Kingsland to our train caboose for the evening. Justin and I stayed here years ago. I've always wanted to bring the girls here to stay the night. It was a perfect opportunity since it was on our way home
They loved it! They were so excited to go in and explore
The was even stairs to the top with seats so you could look out
Jolee and her new pig playing at the top of the train
There is not much to do in Kingsland. We knew we had to get the girls in water so we headed 10 minutes into Marble Falls to the community pool
This pool was a lot more busier with people but not too overly crowded so it was perfect.
We stayed for about 3 hours and enjoyed our time there.
Both girls had to take a "swim test" in order to jump off the diving board. Both girls thought the test was fun and passed. Jolee found a friend and was playing with her the entire time going down the slide and jumping off the diving board
We stayed until the pool closed. Then we ordered pizza and took it back to the train for dinner. It was such a great option then having to go back, clean up and then go out to eat. Since having Jewell we tend to do things the quick and easy way. It just makes since with three kids
Jolee named her pig Oink Oink, lol
Before I left for our trip I bought the girls a bunch of glow stick and a few glow balls so me and the girls went out back and tossed them to each other

And we got to swing
And we walked around the hotel
We headed back inside to get ready for bed

Jewell thinks her sisters are fuuuuunny
The next day we got up and headed back home. We had about a 2 hour drive back home. We were all ready to be home. 4 nights and 5 days was just the right amount of time for our vacation this year. Justin and I learned a few things on this trip. 1. This trip was not a relaxing trip for us, it was work, lol 2. We don't have to go somewhere big and out of state every year and 3. We made lots of fun memories.
I told Justin this will be the vacation that the girls will always remember. We were so worried about vacation and it turned out perfect. We can't to do it again next year.
