Finishing Up April

I can't believe we are already at the end of April yall! This month went by quick.
I have a few pictures left from April that I wanted to share.
First the girls Easter baskets.
The Easter Bunny decided to drop off their goodies before we headed to Wichita. The bunny filled up their baskets and gave them each a new toy.
Jolee was SO excited when she woke up the next morning. She ran into our room and said "Guys! The Easter Bunny came".
Jaina on the other hand pretty much knows that there is no Easter Bunny but was a good sport and played along.
I filled each basket up with candy, fake nails, fun pins, new water bottles and much more.
Jaina got a living room set for her dollhouse. She is starting to collect "real" furniture to put in it. I found this set at Hobby Lobby and it fits perfect in it.
Jolee has been asking for a tea set so I got her this cute flower set.

The bunny took one last picture and then hopped away.
Grandma Dodo and Papa Richard sent the girls a fun Easter box. They both got a new outfit, candy, money, bracelets, and the baby even got a few new outfits.
My feet needed a pedicure super bad last week. So I managed to force myself out of bed the day I called in sick to go get a pedi and foot massage.
Jolee's class walked around the school and picked up trash for Earth Day.
I love that her teacher is always keeping us parents updated with fun photos of the kiddos doing fun stuff.

34 Weeks

Last week I was 34 weeks pregnant.
I'm almost to the end yall! In a way I'm ready and in another way I'm not.
I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. I've officially gained 26 pounds. I'm happy with that. I was thinking it was going to be a lot more with the way I have been eating this pregnancy but I'll take 26 pounds. Everyone keeps telling me how cute and tiny I am for being 8 months pregnant but I just feel like a whale over here, lol.
Dr. Fothergil checked babies measurements and I was spot on at 34 weeks which means I should deliver right at my due date unless she makes her appearance earlier. Babies heart rate was 140. It's gone down a bit from the 150's but Dr. Fothergil said that its normal for babies heart rate to start slowing down towards birth.
I had him check me to see if I was dilated. I told him we were going out of town and wanted to know just in case something happened while we were gone. He Checked and I am dilated to a 1!
It doesn't sound like much but yall I was so excited. And yes, I know being dilated to a 1 pretty much means nothing but yall that's less work I have to do on the day I actually go into labor. When I went into labor with Jaina I was a nothing! Dr. Fothergil also reassured me that this baby isn't coming early according to my history with Jolee being late and Jaina being an induction. I was like geez Dr. Fothergil way to crush my pregnant spirit, lol.
This week I'm still extremely exhausted. Man, I've never been this tired in my whole life. I could sleep all day everyday. In fact last Monday when I went to work I started feeling really crummy, throat hurt and just general achenes. By the time I got home all I wanted to do was take a hot bath and go to sleep. I started sneezing and nose got plugged up and by the time I woke up the next morning for work I had to call in sick because I felt like I got hit by an 18 wheeler. A week later I'm still blowing my nose and trying to re coop. Being pregnant I can't take any medicine so you have to just struggle through everything. It's the pits.
I've had lots of heart burn this week, along with swollen hands and feet. My feet are starting to swell some and the bottom of my heels hurt like no other. I mean they hurt! It's hard to get out of bed at night to use the bathroom because my heels just kill me.
I also had a three day straight migraine too. With all of that I was an emotional wreck. I just felt crummy.
Still lots of cramping, round ligament pain and Braxton Hicks and no cravings.
On a good note. Tim and Justin painted Jewell's room last week. I asked them to paint it all white. Justin hung the curtains and I have been putting decorations up. I am loving the way it's turning out for such a small room. The baby shower is this week. I can't wait to get everything put into her room. She's been moving a lot which always reassures me that she's okay in there.
I'm 99.9% sure we have decided on her name, finally.

Easter with Allie

Before we headed to Wichita we went out to Allie's house on Thursday for a mini Easter celebration.
We enjoyed the weather outside. I sat in the swing while they tossed the football to each other.
Spring is my second favorite season. Fall being the first but I do love everything about spring too. The cool mornings and warm afternoons, all the plants and flowers growing, everything Easter and taking cute spring photos like this one :)
We headed to Ratabor to eat. Jolee loves root beer especially if it comes in a "beer" bottle. She gets so tickled over it.
She's my hot mess!
Jaina is my perfect sassy one and Jewell just might be my quiet princess.
After our bellies were full we headed back to Allie's for Eggfest.
None of us knew what Eggfest was. So what Allie did was line up 7 prizes. Each one got to pick an egg out of the basket with a number inside the egg. Whatever number was in the egg was the prize you got.
Of course the girls already knew what prizes they had their eyes on.
They started drawings eggs and......
Each one got actually what they wanted, Ha! It was like the stars aligned just right for both of them to get exactly what they were eyeballing.
They had a blast with it. It was a cute idea to change things up.
Jolee really, really wanted those cat socks, lol. I swear the kid has worn them everyday since she got them, lol.
Then the Easter Bunny dropped off a surprise for them behind the couch.
Another Allie win!
They both got new white back packs. Something Jaina said she's really been wanting. That all her friends at school have the same one.
She was super excited. They also got books
Lots of candy and lots more.
Then we loaded up and went to Cameron for dessert. Jolee read her new book all by herself. She was proud of herself and I was proud of her too! She's come along way.
We headed straight for the DQ for a dreamsicle dip cone
Have you tried it?
Allie tried it.
They are really good!
The girls sat across from us and got a strawberry Sunday and a mini blizzard.
Hehe,
Happy memories!

Easter Travels

We made our way out to Wichita on Friday. We stopped at Storms in Hamilton for lunch. We were starving. Storms is always good if your passing through Hamilton.
If you wanna know what's on the drive to Wichita, well not a whole lot except windmills and dairy farms.
We stopped in Windthorst to see the girls Godparents, Kimbra and Weyman.
They got to feed the horses some treats
But we had to find them first and then call them over
Jolee was not timid by them at all, she loved it.
Jaina on the other hand took a little while to warm up to them.
But she got the hang of it after a while.
Standing next to an animal that is bigger then you can make you nervous sometimes. I know the feeling.

The girls got to pet them all they wanted and feed them two buckets of treat.
The horses were stuffed.

Then we went inside so Kimbra could give the girls their Easter bags.
They got suckers, candy, lip loss and a few other little things.
Then we headed back outside to talk and enjoy the weather.
And take some cute country pictures
My sweet big girl growing up

Then it was a family photo before we hit the road again.
And one last wave goodbye to the horses.
We finally made it to Pops and Granny Pats for dinner and then headed to Larry and Susan's house so the girls could play with their cousin Chloe.
A game of basketball.
That evening we sat around and talked to Pops about Grandma Jewell and looked at a bunch of old pictures.
Pops and his two girls
Sweet hugs from Jolee to Pops
Saturday Justin and I headed to the cemetery to find Grandma Jewell's grave. Then we headed to Casa Manana for some red tacos and then headed down the street to Keeno's Jerky to see if Cathy was working but unfortunately she wasn't.
We made a stop to visit Steve and Missy and then made one last stop to Scott's Drive In for a butterscotch shake and a cherry limeade. We can't ever go to Wichita without hitting all our favorite spots
Back at Larry's house the girls were having fun jumping on the trampoline
That evening we sat outside and enjoyed the weather while Larry took Jaina around on the 4 wheeler
Then Jaina gave me a ride on the 4 wheeler
Jolee and Chloe enjoying a ride in the jeep
They were having a blast
Cute little stinker
Then we headed inside for some more cousin time and some Easter cake.
We had a great visit in Wichita and are glad we finally took time to go and see everyone. We had a nice visit.
