It’s a Holly Jolly Christmas this year

The next day we had our big Christmas at Mimi’s house

We all got dressed up in our Christmas outfits. Jolee and Jewell wearing their cute Christmas dresses that grandma dodo got them.

Once everyone got there, all the grandkids took a picture with Mimi

We had fiesta party this year instead of a traditional ham and turkey dinner. We decided on Mexican food with tamales and fajitas. The food was really great, and we have lots of desserts too

Once we were done eating all the kids got in their spots and passed out the presents 

They all take turns opening their gifts, starting from the smallest child to the oldest child

We like to go one by one instead of all the kids opening their gifts at one time he gives the adults an opportunity to see what the kids got

Lots of squealing and excitement coming from the kids

Jaina got some Kendra Scott, Tree Hut, gift cards, and lots more

Jewell got tons of toys, dinosaurs, Barbie’s, clothes and lots more

Jolee got tons of stuff for her room, decorations and light up things

Such excitement 

Us adults do not trade gifts, we come for the food! Lol

We had a great time watching all the kids open their presents

Once you’re all wrong with a lot of dessert and said our goodbyes to Rachel, Rick, Greg and Harper, and Allie

We stay the night at Mimi’s house and then the next morning we got up and left to go home

We had a great Christmas and lots of fun

Unwrapping with Mimi

A few weekends ago the girls and I headed to Mimi's house for Christmas. Justin had to stay behind to work. We got to her house pretty late. I had tons of last-minute things to do before we left. As soon as we got settled in the girls got to open their gifts from Mimi.

Mimi always likes to give her gifts to the gifts the night before everyone comes over for our big Christmas get together   

The girls were excited to see Mimi and be there for Christmas with the family

Jaina got lots of books that she asked for and some gift cards

Jewell got some Octonauts, and a Barbie camper

Jaina also got some leggings she was wanting

Saylor enjoyed opening her gifts from Mimi too

Jolee hit the jack pot, she got a new comforter and sheet set, decorations for her "new" room and some gift cards

Then I gave Mom and Allie their gifts. I had something up my sleeve this year. I made Mom and Allie an escape room present. I wanted to do something a little different this year.

Allie had 30 minutes and Mom had 45 minutes to figure out their puzzles to open their locks on their presents

At first they didn't understand but once I explained what and escape room is and how the rules work, they figured out how to play to open their gifts

Allie figured out all his puzzles and gifts with 2 minutes remaining!

His puzzles were a little harder then Mom's were

Mom figured out her puzzles and gifts in no time

It was fun
