It's Slide Time

Last Monday the girls were out of school for President's Day, so we went out to Allie's house for the day.
Jaina stayed the night at her friend Storie's house and missed out on all the fun. Course I'm sure she was having fun herself. I know as she gets older, she will probably come with us less on our adventures. Makes my momma heart a little sad :(

We went out to Allie's house because I was working on a project for the upcoming cotilion dance but first we headed to Cameron to eat.
Then we went to the park before heading back to his house.
It was such a beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous. I'm sooooooo ready for spring!
The girls had fun at the park. Jewell did NOT want to leave when it was time to go.
Allie and I even went down the slide! Lol

Your never too old to got down the slide!

The best thing at this park, the merry go round

My beautiful Jolee
We headed back to Allie house. We are preparing for the upcoming 80's theme cotilion dance and my job was to paint 8 boxes black and put colored paper squares on them. Once they are folded and put together, they are Rubik's cube. These boxes will be part of the photo area. They looked easy but they were a lot of work!

World Thinking Day

The girls at World Thinking Day this year for Girl Scouts
This year we actually all got to meet in person. We haven't had World Thinking Day in two years because of Covid.
This year Jaina's group studied Girl Scouts of Belize
And Jolee studied Girl Scouts of South Korea
This was Jolee's board.
They learned about their culture, sports, food, money, climate and what a Girl Scout in South Korea does
We handed out "Korean Cookies" which actually tasted like a Ritz Cracker
And here was Jolee's Swaps
All set up
So if you don't know what World Thinking Day is, it's a day where all the Girl Scout troops come together, visit each country, try new foods and grab a swap. The troops get to study about other Girl Scouts from other countries. They are required to study subjects about them in their country and make a tri fold board about the country. Then we display the board for the other troops to see and learn about. The troops will walk to the tables, we stamp their "passport", they grab the swap and food.
The girls look forward to it every year.
They march in representing their countries flag.
Jolee got to stamp passports
Jaina's group learned about Girls Scouts in Belize, researched and made beans and rice for their food

Jolee going around the world
They had lots of fun! It's always a fun night.

I like big.........

I like big butts and I cannot lie, hahaha
Jolee is something else. Always trying to make us laugh. She came out of her room with pillows stuffed in her pants to make her have bigger body parts.
She was cracking me up, LOL
Jewell does not know what to think about the car wash. I like to go to the Car Wash Barn every now and then to get my car washed. It's an automatic car wash and it does a great job.
Jewell doesn't know whether to like it and laugh or get scared. She thinks the blue spinners that wash the car in a monster.
Haha, look at her poor little intense face.
But once it's all over she laughs and says, " Yay, momma, it's over"

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
This year for Valentine's Day I gave the girls a basket full of goodies.
Jaina does not like "off brand candy" (those are her words) and she doesn't like a whole lot of chocolate, so she got lots of gummies and a gift card to Ulta.

Jolee is a lover of all candy even "off brand candy", lol she will eat it. Her basket was filled with lots of gummies and chocolates, and I gave her a digital watch.

Yes, my child is still learning how to tell time. She has a hard time reading Roman Numeral's and regular clocks but we are getting there. So I decided to get her a digital watch to wear all the time to help her look at both clocks at the same time. And it's working! She's slowly getting there.
And for Jewell she got a few small things of chocolate candy, and I got her a little Barbie. This girl loves Barbies. My only child to really play with Barbies.

This year Justin and I exchanged a box of chocolates to each other. We don't make a big fuss about Valentine's Day. I also told him NOT to buy me flowers, not only are roses marked up for Valentine's Day ($130.00 for a dozen roses) but I also see them 24/7 at work. I'm good with just a box of my favorite chocolates.
And of course he knows my favorite chocolate's in the whole world are Whitman's!
And to my surprise this year there was not only one man carry the box of chocolate but 2! This piece of chocolate brings me back to my childhood. My Granny who I dearly loved use to always share her gold box of Whitman's with me. She always had a box sitting next to her chair. I would sit on the floor next to her while she knitted and we would watch tv, usually Mama's Family or the Family Fued and eat chocolate. She always saved this piece of chocolate for me because she knew it was my favorite.
What I wouldn't give to be 8 years old sitting with my Granny sharing a box of Whitman's with her without a care in the world!
Jolee was So excited for her Valentine's party at school. She had been talking about it for weeks. She said they ate pizza, traded Valentine's, had snacks and ate candy.
When the girls got home, I made them a spaghetti dinner and then Jolee went to her gymnastics lesson
Jewell stayed home with her Daddy while I worked
Haha, Jewell cracks me up. She can never take a picture with her sisters in it. It makes her so mad, lol

See, she was crying last year too, lol
Playing with her new Barbie

And my Valentine tree. Yes, I left my tinsel tree up in our bedroom from Christmas and made it into a Valentine tree. Not sure if I will leave it up all year or not but it was fun to decorate it for Valentine's.
